Stock Server #2

So I noticed that crits are turned off on the Stock 2 server, which is all fine and dandy. The problem is that it makes melee weapons useless for the most part. It's not like the melee weapons were terribly useful considering you had to be next to the enemy, and then you still had to hope for a lucky crit.

Any chance of turning off crits for all weapons but melee?

I was just playing it and got plenty of bottle and kukri kills. You just don't get lucky shots.

Don't tard up my non-crit server with your "oh god I have to get lucky" bullshit. If you can't get melee kills without relying on lucky kills, stick to your primary. And Keg's right, both of us got quite a few melee kills with no issue (at least 5-8 for me and like 10+ for him).

I agree, random crits are completely lame.

However, the competition is better on stock 1, so there is no perfect solution.

I'm a 24/7 Dustbowl regular and have been for 4+ months now. Unfortunately, I'm getting tired of the map and of the random bullshit kills that demomen get while mindlessly lobbing pipes and stickies around corners. Worse than that, several of the less-than-talented demomen get inflated opinions of themselves because they do well in stage 3 when I chain feed them kritzkreigs. (Not talking about anyone in particular, or at least anyone I'm willing to name.)

Anyway, not trying to hijack this thread.

I've recently been playing more and more on Stocks 2. I enjoy the non-random crits as well as the variety of maps. I just wish more people there talked and generally hung out. Most of the time on Stocks 2 I'm stuck talking to myself and wondering who to uber or why the medic pulled off of me to heal a scout.

Shame it doesn't attract a better crop of players. Medics on that server tend to be awful.

Ok why the hell when Stocks 2 should be one of the most competitive servers (no crits/randoms) is it one full of the most mouthbreathers? I ubered three different people tonight. The first heavy stood there unspun, the second heavy shot at the scouts instead of the kritz'ed demoman, and the first pyro ignored sentry guns completely.

Other than that, the uber experiences were average, but still lacking.

WHERE THE FUCK IS THE TALENT??????????????

Edit: Oh yeah, 3 out of the ~30 some odd people I played with tonight actually used their microphones.
