But seriously, i'm trying to decide whether to craft with just 3 refined metal and just do the random hat, because i want one of the piles of hats, but then i might get a scout hat and i hate scouts, advice?

I've still got my Vintage Tyrolean, but I've picked up a Camera Beard on Mana's idle server. I've been seeing a lot of people get it, is that because it's misc. now or are people just getting lucky?

I actually got it with the gunboats, which is what I was idling for (call me a noob ).

Actually the Camera Beard no longer counts as a hat so it has a higher drop rate. This being due to the fact it now goes in the "Misc" slot.

As for the Gunboats the only place I can see a place for them is Arena. The buff banner is just so better when pushing or defending.

I still prefer the shotgun for soldier. Then again, I spam rockets like crazy, so having an extra weapon to finish people off is good for me

Yup. If a quick headshot doesn't finish that Pyro, a few shots from the SMG does the job. Or, just chasing injured people.
