This one's sort of a hard call in my opinion. I didn't get what people were whining about with him namely and quickly saw a voteban for him go by on the terms "disruptive".

His stats and behaviour in game make this a hard call though. I only saw him as sniper a few times and generally aimbotters don't do that. He also blatantly misses a shot at roughly 2:02.

He seems to have reset his player stats on his actual steam page at the moment, so I'd say aimbot for now.

Just my two cents.

Already taken care of. Some of the shots he gets are too wild to be anything but a bot. Missed shots may be caused by bad lag.

<_< I've seen many aimbots before and this is definitely one of them.

Here's a another aimbot to help you out how they react.

I'm not a regular player on lotus servers, so this doesn't affect me too much. It seems most lotus servers are people votekicking/banning people for no apparent reason at all most the time.. no offense. But I have to say banning me, or anyone else, on the basis of this video is absolutely ridiculous. This is simply the OP taking many many minutes of video until I pull off some shots that are, in fact amazing shots. Though I will admit that many of them are lucky. The spy shot specifically can be explained by being on vent with another player in the server John Wilkes Booth. We communicate as snipers where targets are which explains why when I pop out I already have a general idea of where the enemy position is. The ONLY shot that I see in this video that cannot be attributed to talented sniping, good communication with teammates and a high mouse sensitivity (play with ms 11) Is the spy shot. The one that is clearly.. a very lucky shot. It's interesting that the op had to wait in spectator for well over half an hour to find 1:30 seconds worth of video that he feels "proves" I cheat. I've never cheated in an online game before in my life. I really think in the future for other players you should be more selective about who you choose to ban. I'm a team player, spend most of time in the support classes, and a mature player. I've never had a problem with anyone on your servers before. Sniper is by far one of my best classes, the best being soldier. I wish I didn't reset my stats, and the reason I did so was because I was messing around in a custom server with bots which ruined all my "top records" or whatever you want to call them. Why would someone who so "obviously" has an aimbot be spending that majority of his time playing support classes and soldier, where the projectile has a travel time and therefore renders an aimbot useless...

You simply don't have the proof you SHOULD require to pass out a ban in your servers. A perfect example is a quote from Henry Spencer saying "Already taken care of. Some of the shots he gets are too wild to be anything but a bot. Missed shots may be caused by bad lag." That's one way to look at it, another way to look at it is that the perspective of this video is also skewed by lag. The shots that I make in this video, especially the spy shot, look like I snapped my aim over to him in a split second.. that's not the case. But from the perspective of the op it sure looks like it. Like I said 30+ minutes in spectator in order to come out with 1:30 of video..

Again, I'm not losing any sleep over being banned from your servers. It doesn't really bother me. But it would bother other people you decide to pass out bans to just because the guy who posted the video is wearing and L-r tag. DejaDew and Henry Spencer. I would like to prove to you that I don't cheat. As far as I know there is no way to hide cheats should I record a demo myself of me playing. I'd like to do that, post it for you both to see. And I can guarantee making much better shots than that, having much higher scores. And you will see that it's completely legit. I wish i was recording at the time this demo was taken so you could see how different it looks from the actual players perspective. Say the word and I'll record the demo's as soon as I have the time.

And to compare a video of me sniping and getting 1 lucky shot out of the whole thing to the video of that heavy.. Just shows how ridiculous your rationality is.

So... 11 mouse sensitivity is supposed to explain your aim being unbelievably shaky when scoped? What are you, a Parkinson's patient? Also, I don't care how high your sensitivity is, consistently (i.e. 99.9% of the time) locking onto heads you weren't even aiming at is not humanly possible. Definitely shouldn't be, with that kind of sensitivity.

Also, perhaps I should change what I said to, "All of the shots he gets are too wild to be anything but an aimbot." As for the lag, Deja had 60 ping, you were in the mid-30's. That's not nearly enough to skew a demo.

If you think I'm pressing for a ban just because a recruit posted it, well... I don't play favorites. I just do my job. :) And in this case, I see something that is suspicious enough to warrant a ban; that's more than enough for me.

Once again DeJa you've proved your lack of intelligence. By stating I would record a demo, I'm offering video proof of myself playing the game with the same playstyle that can be seen in your "incriminating" videos. If I turned the fictional aimbot off would you see the same playstyle that can be seen in the video? Obviously not.

Also if I were you I'd be careful if I were a 20 year old boy poking fun at a war veteran. Not everyone will take it lightly and one day you'll say the wrong thing to the wrong person and you'll regret it.

As to Henry Spencer stating that he plays no favorites.. I seem to recall when I got back from my deployment to Iraq and I would frequent Lotus' 24/7 Dustbowl server where a L-r player named "You suck and have no life" played regularly. This player was by far one of the worst griefers I've ever seen. Constantly and relentlessly verbally abusing other players in the server. Not to mention by googling "you suck and have no life tf2" you can come across videos of him hacking and purposely griefing servers. You can also find multiple server admins on their forums that have, ready for this? PROOF that he's hacked the server that forced them to ban him from their server / server groups. This was pointed out to the lotus staff many months ago and not only was nothing done about it. It was completely ignored. No favorites are being shown in that example.. none at all.

The bottom line is DeJa has accused me of something that is simply not true. And Henry Spencer has made his decision prematurely and immaturely. After being accused I've asked you both to put your money where your mouth is and I'll do the same. My guess is you would be worried about doing it because, if you're wrong, your entire gaming community will be aware you're banning people who've done nothing wrong. And that can only bring to mind the question.. how many have you done it to before? I know you have servers that are full 18+ hours of the day that I've seen some Lotus members bragging about on other threads and you probably don't care that much. But I don't know if it's just me but if I were a TF2 player looking to have a fun time I wouldn't appreciate the server administrators giving out bans like free tupperware.

Well this will be the last time I post on this forum. For future reference I suggest you either educate yourself a little more on what your talking about before banning your players. Or perhaps lotus should find a new person for this job. Good luck with that and I hope things improve.

See ya. :)

On second thought, I feel like dissecting this. I'm in the mood for it.

fictional aimbot

Please explain to me why you snap to heads through rocks and shoot at and ubered Medic you're not even looking at 2-3 times. Also, I don't care how much help you had, you snapped straight to that Spy.

Also if I were you I'd be careful if I were a 20 year old boy poking fun at a war veteran. Not everyone will take it lightly and one day you'll say the wrong thing to the wrong person and you'll regret it.

Ooo, we got ourselves an Internet Tough Guy.

lolwut? I did this, and there's nothing at all. Did you think I wasn't going to scoff at this, think to myself, "Heh, what the fuck ever," and not look it up? Suckylife never hacked, he was just The Biggest Douche in the Universe.

This was pointed out to the lotus staff many months ago and not only was nothing done about it. It was completely ignored. No favorites are being shown in that example.. none at all.

I've been a staff member for about 3 weeks. Not my problem.

ROFL. I'll get back to you when I care.

And that can only bring to mind the question.. how many have you done it to before?

I don't hand out bans unless there isn't a doubt in my mind that the person in question was hacking. Look over some of the other ban requests I've done.

That was me. :) I only give out bans to people that are extremely detrimental to the playing experience of others. This would include serious griefers, those who choose to verbally harass others on a regular basis, and hackers. You fall into the final category.

Well this will be the last time I post on this forum. For future reference I suggest you either educate yourself a little more on what your talking about before banning your players. Or perhaps lotus should find a new person for this job. Good luck with that and I hope things improve.

I stopped reading this thread at cheater trying to weasel his way out with wall of text.

If the YouTube video is anything close to representing what's actually in the demos, then its pathetic you're even trying to defend it.

People seriously needed to watch past :55 with him immediately jumping to and tracing the completely cloaked spy that he had no way to notice exiting the spawn? Sheesh.

What it seems like, after watching it a few times, is he had it on for the beginning of the round to take care of the initial rush of people. When the battle started dying down a bit, he turned it off and went to snipe in the tunnel. Those shots didn't look much like an aimbot at all, just moving side to side and shooting easy targets.

Beginning is complete bullshit though. If you were able to see through the rock for the one shot he snapped to, I bet the cart would've been right there with at least a couple people on it. It seemed to detect whoever was closest to him in his sight line.
