32 Player De-list Bypass File - Linux And Windows!

Recommended Posts

I think i fixed the problem. The new playerlimit does work, but you have to use the original engine.dll file.

HLDSUpdateTool doesn't overwrite the engine.dll file, so you need to keep the original file, and then leave it be....then of course add the plr file, and the other .vdf file to the appropriate spot.

No disconnects or crashes or anything.

But, this was a stock setup, and I had not added any mods like Mani or anything...

Hopefully this helps anyone who is having trouble.

If you need the engine.dll file, just ask for it.

Apparently it crashes for some people even with the current Valve engine.dll. Plus the update should overwrite the fixed engine.dll file. Seeing as the fixed file is 2 times smaller than the one Valve has, it should be easily detected by the updatetool.

I use TCAdmin's panel for my servers, and the console GUI didn't show a new version of the engine.dll file, so perhaps it does it for some, and not others.

I will do some more tests, because it might be other mod dependent as well.

Some one figured it out. OS far it's working for me.

So far atleast. Lastign longer than normal.

What does everyone have this set to (mp_forcecamera)?

I had it set to 1 -- I just switched it to the "default" (3) -- we'll be testing now to see if that fixes it..

Apparently we, the people who never change it were fine all along. My server has not crashed once, and I have never touched that cvar. It's been up since the update.

That seems to be the problem. Goodjob

I find it a bit strange. I never had the cvar in there at all to begin with either. So, it DID default to 3?

I also left the engine.dll file alone, and it was all good. Just added in the 1.2 PLR files, and still going strong for 2+ hrs.

Yeah, it's just this last patch, and seems to have effected Intel more than AMD. Yet there seems to be a few still with the problem even after changing the cvar.

my server was set to mp_forcecamera 3. with or without the new engine.dll my server refuses to load with the new plr.dll loaded. I even tried to change the forcecamera to two but that still didn't change anything. Seems that the only thing that has worked fully has been the old plr with the engine.dll.

if i added srcds.exe to the DEP and then changed the forcecamera, should that fix the problem?

Yes add srcds.exe to the DEP list. And if you want to touch mp_forcecamera than make sure it's set to 3.

THanks for all your hard work! I really appreciate it!

Out of curiosity, what purpose does having it list 33 maxplayers serve? I recognize it's 32/32, but what happens if someone tries to connect to that 33rd slot?

game crashes. I think they start the server with one blank person in the server of sort. then when the server has 33 people it's really only 32

Let's say it gives me a reserved slot. But that only part of it.

Figured as much.

Thanks for the reply.

Wish Valve didn't suck so much so we could all do that kind of stuff without having to work for it.

I wish you guys would release that code next :D I would love a reserve slot system like that.

SourceOP updated the plugin PLR to work with DEP now.

I just updated the file in your arcive if you want to put it on your site

http://www.matrix-host.com:81/Files/plr_win_4.rar

so i tried out that new plugin and my server will get up and running but now it seems that when a third person joins the server it instantly crashes. it runs fine with 0, 1 or 2 but 3 kills it instantly.

The new plr.dll (plr_win_4) is crashing my server when players are > 3. I reinstalled ver.1 plr.dll and feb_14 server.dll and everything is running perfect.

Must be a problem with the plugin then, atleast in your cases.

this is the same thing that has been happening to my server. i would suggest going to the sourceop's forums and downloading the test plr.dll they put up for me and giving it a try.

Ok guys i just got over this nightmare of server crashs that has taken up most of my time... After the 1st update a few days ago my server would crash after a few hours did the 2nd update and still had the same crashes removed all plugins still crash. Sent some MDMP's to valeve and they found nothing. This was a server that NEVER ever crashed. Matter a fact part of my style on that server was to run the same map for days never a crash. After finding out this was my problem and I was the only one that was crashing I did a fresh install with new version of beetle and boom working. Not sure what messed up the server but goes to show you that a fresh install is the most effective 1st step in troubleshooting server crashes.
