32 Player De-list Bypass File - Linux And Windows!

Recommended Posts

Lord Z, we are a game hosting company and most of our clients use 32 slot TF2 servers. Is it possible you can post a static link to the updated engine.dll file so we can periodically update our servers.

This would be the same way we update punkbuster for other servers.

The link would be static as in battlerealms/forums/engine.dll , instead of .raring the file every time you can keep updating the one at this static location.

Not sure if this is asking for alot but it would be great for us !

I am adding the date on purpose, incase I need an older file later I can just get it from my FTP (I don't keep all those versions on my PC)

So i'd have to add 2 links. And upload twice. Which would add ~30 secs before the file is out for everyone :P.

I'll think about it ;).

Besides, you wouldn't know if I update the file or not. It would always look the same. Sometimes even the file size is the same as an old file even if there are changes.

Well here is a thought,

You can keep the dl location static at all times, upload to your ftp server and jus overwrite the older .dll file. Maybee just edit this post on the heading saying new update or something. You see this will give us a tremendous advantage as our users will be able to automatically update their TF2 servers via their game panel without me or the admins creating new package updates.

:)

See there is a slight problem with that. I wouldn't bother making a .rar with a different name each time if there wasn't a reason. I need to keep backups of older files, for obvious and not so obvious reasons.

Lots of talk in the HLDS list... Someone has a plugin that will let you run a 32player server and never need to mod the engine.dll. They state you can just install this plugin and thats it... Seems they are just posting info and don't plan to let anyone have it... Bummer.... But I spoke sometime back to you about a program/plugin that would do the same thing. Have you thought more on this? You are great on the updates but what about this plugin? Do you think that would be something you would hime time to do? Anyone you know that is working on this that you might be able to direct me 2?

Thank you for your time.

I know of that talk, I've been replying to it. (I'm "1nsane" on the list)

The same person who gave us the Linux version (Nephyrin) now has the Windows version. We'll see how it goes but I think that it will be released. I already have it :).

Then there's also 2 other guys that made a plugin like that, apart from Nephyrin. So it's only a matter of "when" and definitely not "if". Either that or Valve will succumb and release it for everyone.

I was thinking that was you :) just not 100% sure.. More power to you buddy when that does become avalible could you post a link here just to keep it simple and off the valve list once more thanks man. ;) tho I know you will not be the one to release it.

So are you free to talk about this plugin? Is it something you just drop into you addons folder and thats it? Does this allow you to run your 33 player server or is it limited to 32 platers? What can I do to help convince the auther to release the plugin? :) We all know that if he is waiting for Valve they are going to do nothing and just ignore the topi but we also know that 32 player servers are not going to go away soon :) Any info you can provide will be much appreciated and thanks for your work with the 32 player community.

The plugin does the same thing that the fixed engine.dll files does. There are NO 33 player servers, none. Only 32 player servers (They might appear to be 33 slots, but they are not). The only difference from the file is that the plug in will not require you to wait for a new file every single update.

On your signature the 1st server lists as 33/33 players? or even 32/33 but the capacity that the server lists is 33?

As I already said a few times, there are no 33 player servers. Only 32 player servers that appear to be 33 players. And that server is mine by the way.

Drunkenf00l, who runs sourceop.net and mades the plugin to allow 32x servers in the first place, will be releasing a plugin (just like the current plr.dll/so and playerlimits.vdf) that allows 32x AND does a delist bypass in one.

I also made a plugin to do the delist bypass and linux and windows (so its just a .so/.vdf you put in the tf/addons folder, no more LD_PRELOAD garbage) which prompted him to consider releasing his.

Since mine doesn't do the player limit removal (only the anti-delist) his single plugin to do all this will be more useful, so I don't know if I'll bother releasing the plugin version of mine.

He has stated he plans to release sometime today. We'll be sure to link to it when it is up

Yep I understand that in real life they are only 32 player servers. But i don't undersatnd then what happens when the 33rd person joins? Not some sort of reserve slot? anyway i'll just drop my questions on this and be happy that we will have the plug-in to remove the 32 playe limit

The 33rd person cannot join, servers that appear as 33/33 are really at 32/32. The numbers are just tampered with. For obvious reasons, the code to do that is not getting released :-P

Also thank you Lord Zymeth for keeping 90% of the 32 player community afloat

Updated the first thread with the info, and also made the vdf files for his plugin as well as instructions here:

Let me post an update...

I played with things and found out that in a DEP environment you need to add srcds into the exceptions list. No need for the file now thank you

Yep would crash at the last part of the load the "adding master server" part would pop a exception error box and kick out an MDMP file. Once I started to think about it and DrunkenF00l pointed his finger at DEP bam :) that was it.

Yes, it is constantly crashing the server.

I have disabled metamod, sourcemod, but it is still crashing with the new SourceOP new plr.dll

crys help!! I prefer the old system.
