Best 2Nd Tier Unit?

Well, for me, bandit for melee and canoneer for range. Obviously because I'm a Serpent Clan user.

But, if you ask the question like this:

"Best 2nd tier unit in raw damage ??"

Of course I will choose Dragon Warrior and Balistaman.

"Best 2nd tier unit in razing building??"

Sledger and Unclean One.

Why Unclean One? Because he has more speed while attacking. Compared to Bazooka Sumo Master or Canoneer, they are a bit slow.

But how about the Pitch Slinger? He is good at burning building, but do a little of damage when he is engaging in a war (but if you are fighting a Lotus Clan while it's raining because of Zymeth, and still trying to burn a tower/building, try your best. It will just sizzling because of the rain). Best while putting him on the Tower for defence.

And many more.

Oh I still have to explain why I pick Bandit and Canoneer for my best 2nd tier unit.

Bandit has a great defence againts explosive / magic attacks (best againts Lotus's Unclean One, Warlock or Master Warlock, and Zymeth / Dragon's Powder Keg Canoneer, Chemist, Kabuki). But he is incredibly weak againts unit with piercing (such as spear, arrow, Balistaman, etc.), slash/cutting (Samurai, Dragon Warrior, Swordman, Ronin, Blade Acolyte, etc.) and Blunt (Sledger, Guardian).

As for Canoneer, he has the same strong and weakness as Bandit have, but Canoneer have a difference with a Bandit. He is ranged. Lol.

I have no problem with a long story i actually need to read more. if it is a one on one with a melee units all upgraded and tier 2 the diseased ones will win... i actaully tried it too. however in a skirmish battle i would pick the bandits or sledger. like you said the bandit does not have anyweaknesses except for blunt and if you upgrade them you can have a poisen strike and add more health onto them which makes them pretty tough in a pack. with the sledgers just siege purposes for them, i would prefer berserkers anytime, but this is 2 tier only.

i vote for kabuki because of his style and ballistaman is strong for range but if he`s attack by a melee he toasted.

I like the sledger for melee, and the ballistaman for range. But if you were to say the most useful units on the battlefield, I'd pick the bandit in exchange for the sledger. Why? bandits have both range and melee, Their poison thingy stuns their enemy for quite a long time allowing the other units to tackle him, and he has invisibility. As for the ballistaman, he is the best range unit (in my opinion) although his reload may take some time; still, no other range unit packs a bigger punch than the ballistaman.

In razing, I'd pick the pitch slinger (with shale armor). Pitch fire takes down more buildings way faster than raider fire. The only defect is when it rains, but that's when the sledgers come out. Sledgers (with Petrified Wood, Shale armor) are very destructive when it comes to buildings. Their innate is demolisher which gives them the strength to demolish buildings with ease. As far as I've noticed; The wolf clan are masters of razing. Think the shale lord; No other Zen master demolishes buildings like this monstrosity. The pitch slinger, 2 pitch slingers can burn down half of your village (I've tried it) and the sledger, hammer and all. So... Buildings BEWARE! The Wolf Clan is coming!!!

can't disagree there... the wolf are frightening when it comes to buildings.

if there was a mod that makes a new clan with only tier 2 units from all clans because they're the best.

Exactly. Although I have a couple of 3rd tiers and 4th tiers in my ranks, half of my army usually consists of 2nd tier units.

Yeah like if i pick serpent i would have like 2 ronins run in the front with a whole army ov upgraded bandits behind them so they can get the good aura on them. if i pick lotus there is allot ov 1st tier with a couple warlocks behind them. wolf clan... whynot use all berserkers? nah i would use some balistaman in there. dragon... i would have a bunch ov samurais and chemists with star dust or what ever their stunning projectile is.

lol Sledgener w/ Shale Armor why??? while his opponents has no BG .crazy!!!

a. 1.Dragon warrior can own Bandits Sledgener and Infested One. W/OUT BG

2.But Kabuki Wa. can own Dragon Wa. because of kabuki's magic damage.

b. 1.Balistaman is great in range combat. also in melee combat

2. Unclean One. i dont know why but i think because of its high def? but they suck in a melee combat

3. Sumo Cannoneers slower attack speed than of the Serpents Cannoneer but deals more damage. also weak in melee combat

(because of their fatness, they bleed so fast xD)

Desease One i'd say he's on the first bracket

4.Pitchlingers fire attack doesnt work or let say deals less damage against units ..
