Unban Request

Hello, i've banned from the Lotus servers for a bit now, just for acting stupid. I did the wrong thing and I realize that. Took on a bet to join with a name of one ofthe admins and of course I got banned. ( I mean honestly, what was I expecting.) What I wasn't expecting is that I play on this server a lot and didn't know the server I was joining was the one I screwed my self in. So I just would like to let everyone know, that I'm sorry. Won't happen again. I didn't mean for it to be like this. I like these servers a lot because it is a really great group. I hopeto see you all soon.

Just doing a quick search of your steam ID brings up quite a few places that seem to have banned you for a variety of reasons, kinda makes you look like your doing it just to troll. Just my 2 cents though not an admin or anything but your ID alone brings up 3 pages of results about half of which are either perma or temp bans for things. You seem to have a history with trolling, even one of your prior names was in fact "trolls"

Judging by the frequency of your name changes here, http://stats.lotusclan.com/playerinfo/1642190, I am wondering if you were using a namechanger, which is commonly used in conjunction with other hacks. I'm going to say no to this unban for now, though I will leave this open should another Staff member or Admin be of a different opinion.

I understand, I was quite the idiot. I just used a simple name changer because I was an idiot plain and simple. Thought I was the cool kid who can change there name. Took on bets to impersonate admins and such, wasn't a smart idea, but I didn't care at the time. If I could go back in time and change it. I would. I'm banned for the name changer cheat cause 3rd party cheats detected it, something a long the lines of that. Yup, total moron. I know, but I've changed I actually like to play TF2, your servers were outstanding when I played on them (friends account). I'm not the brightest, but I do learn from my mistakes if you happen to grant me another chance. I 100% feel why you wouldn't want to unban me. I would just like to take this time and apologize for my actions and inconveniences I may have caused to this server. Thank you for at least reading the application.

But when your record is against you (prior bans in places according to another post) and also the unban request is not honest - i.e. you start out by saying that you wanted to impersonate (note correct spelling) a lotus staff/member for a bet when actually you impersonated a bot (hence the V2 after the name) through use of a name changer which is lying or concealment of the truth - if you judge it to a lesser degree - then it doesn't seem right that the player should be unbanned.

Also note that 2 separate admins have already denied this request and so when you say "up to admins" it's already been decided from what I can see.

His other evidence is also very weak, stating he plays on the server a lot when actually he has recorded play time of like an hour on lotus (from the link I saw posted) - 2 connects hardly is playing here lots and missing his enjoyment which appears to be trolling/hacking anyway.

And yes, namechangers are just used so that players are able to hide their identity from players who might try and ban them for using another hack.

Also anybody can change their name through use of steam without a hack. You could've just done that instead of hacking and then getting banned for wearing the lotus tag. It doesn't appear to be the "cool kid thing" when you say oh I used a namechanger to imitate the names of players on the server. It looks like if you played and were hacking (aimbot, crithack etc) then people would'nt have been able to target you to ban/kick you meaning you could hack for longer periods of time. I find it ironic that lotus autobanned you before you were on there long enough to obtain a kill on your stats page.

well see, if he's not smart enough to realize that name changers won't work on lotus then he probably is just some dumby who played on lotus servers before, trolled others and tried it on ours which failed, not to say that is the way it is but...I just like to try to shed some light on the other side, just to see what others think and oli you have swayed me to believe more so than perhaps he is just an asshacker. But basically it's not my decision at all, I'm just a recruit after all. I do like to talk in forums from time to time and this is one of them i suppose, anyway ban or unban I think a second chance can't kill someone, it's just a game after all.

But I remember when I was a kid and the older kids or w.e would take over the games just because they could, stealing my controllers, pushing me out of they way or just taking my fucking turns, I guess I just like video games too much and it fogs my vision of the hackers, cause they don't like to play they like to ruin it for the players.

Well, the reason would be apparent. Got banned for lotus Impersonation (which I deserved) but all the bot did was just grab a players name on the server and change it to mine. It wasn't anything other than that.

I got you, but the bot picks up all names. I myself never used any other hack besides a name changer. It was an external VB program and nothing more.

Yeah, but this changed automatically. Sped up the process without having to tab. Yup, about the last part being banned for a lotus tag.

Yeah, so I connect for an Hour or 2 on this account. Didn't get a kill because I'm using other cheats such as aimbot and crithack. It was an auto-namechanger, that is all what it was. Thought I was a the extreme one who could change there name.

I already stated that I'm sorry about this. Otherwise, I wouldn't be posting here trying to get myself unbanned. If both the admins denied it, well I guess you may trash this thread. Also, sorry for my misspelling. English isn't my first language.

Tl;Dr: I already guess this thread has been denied, so I'll wait for it to get locked. I mean, why would I got through all this trouble to try and get unbanned. I mean since this is already closed, I'll just extend my apology to you guys. I was stupid to do what I did. I understand that and realize that staying banned will be in this scenario. Sorry, experience tells me that people usually lie and don't change their entire outlook on what is right and wrong very often.

Also I don't know of a single TF2 namechange program that isn't tied to other hacks such as crit/aimbot (and I know all of the public ones).

We aren't buying it.
