No longer a Sexy King:^) 5,592 #987 Posted June 28, 2014 What's wrong about the original one? Well, apparently it's not that bad, it's just Brotherhood actually follows the manga entirely!

Nano 7,892 #992 Posted June 28, 2014 I'll download... hopefully it's not boring Gof is a sad tear jerker for sure, as is that episode of FMA (incidentally, unless you are a purist you'll Likely enjoy the original FMA series as well). Eureka seven (the original NOT ao) has a few episodes that I cry to every time. That story is so enjoyable is recommend it anyway though.

I agree Eureka Seven is a great anime, a 9/10 in my book, it's especially emotional during the second half, well worth the watch.

ultr@BUNNY 8,565 #998 Posted June 29, 2014 best slice of life I understand that you're saying that because, hell, why the fuck not... But I'm happy you brought that up, that's a debatable topic actually...Nichijou it's indeed a very good anime of the Slice of Life genre...but "the best"...I'm not sure about that. Just trying to start a healthy debate here, no need to bring the pitchforks and torches... After all, we encourage discussions here (the good kind). HOW DARE YOU COUNTER MY PERSONAL OPINIONS!....jk For me, i haven't watched a considerable amount of slice of life animes. Seeing that i've watched only a handful my personal belief is that nichijou, nichibro (Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou) and cromartie high school are up there but, i don't feel that i've had enough exposure to the sub-genre for my opinion to have any backing if you want to talk about action anime then that's an easy answer Fucking JOJO is the tightest shit Edited June 29, 2014 by -Pride-
ultr@BUNNY 8,565 #1000 Posted June 29, 2014 HOW DARE YOU COUNTER MY PERSONAL OPINIONS!....jk For me, i haven't watched a considerable amount of slice of life animes. Seeing that i've watched only a handful my personal belief is that nichijou, nichibro (Danshi Koukousei no Nichijou) and cromartie high school are up there but, i don't feel that i've had enough exposure to the sub-genre for my opinion to have any backing I also watched all the animes you mentioned, and I love them but they are more focused in the Comedy genre than in actual Slice of Life, in those cases Comedy is the main genre and Slice of Life is the sub-genre, and if you ask me those characters are nothing but "normal" *wink wink*. 1st of all we should understand what is the Slice of Life genre after all, Slice of Life is a genre that represents day-to-day tribulations of one or many characters. These challenges/events could technically happen in real life and are often (if not all the time) set in the present timeline in a world that mirrors our own but that may or may not include a few "twists". In the later years its seems, the genre as deviated much from what it makes it what it really is, turning it into a second plan genre instead of being the main genre. If you want to see what Slice of Life is really about, I can recommend a few based on my experience, all of them have either music, fantasy, romance, or drama mixed with them as you would expect. -Clannad, Clannad: After Story -Wolf Children -anohana: The Flower We Saw That Day -Usagi Drop -Nodame Cantabile, Nodame Cantabile: Paris Chapter, Nodame Cantabile: Finale -Toradora -Beck -Hyouka -5 Centimeters per Second Although I watched many more, these should set an example, hopefully you will watch one or more of them, after all variety is the spice of life.
