Competitve Medic Coaching?

Hi there! As some of you may know, a few other Lotus members and I have formed a competitive team. I am the medic, and my average life span during matches is ridiculously short. So, as a result (and from the protests of my battered ego), I've decided to get coached.

If anybody is willing to coach me in competitive medicing, or know some people who can, please message me or add me on steam

I'd suggest Kitten, though, as she's got experience in competitive and lobbies, too.

Kitten has by far the most experience (she is UGC Plat after all), I'd be happy to help if I have time, as would Obvi. The other person who would be worth talking to is Cactus.

One thing though is that if your life span is ridiculously short, it may not be just your fault. Obviously if you're new you're probably going to be making mistakes, but remember that because of your fragility, you are relying on your team to help keep you alive. I'm not saying blame everything on your teammates by any means, but not every death will necessarily be your fault. While the rest of your team is learning as well, you need to accept that even if you play well, there are going to be occasions when someone else makes a mistake that costs you your life.

If you want to get the ball rolling start recording demos. If yoou don't have p-rec just manually record a demo by typing something like this into console. 'record medicreview1'

Upload it and post it and get a review back.

I am Widow's pocket soldier so it might be helpful if I came along to any training too or if I talked to another pocket soldier. I have struggled with working out whether to drag my medic to where I want to be, or stand back and protect the medic and take shots at the enemy when I get chance (generally speaking). I have been doing too much of the former and have now decided to change my focus to the latter. I'm working on my soldier skills but also I need to work on keeping Widow alive now I have changed my majority focus to her rather than the enemy.

I think if we stick together more when playing your life span will increase, at the moment we are spread out far too much I think. Looking back at the games we have played, the opposing teams always seemed to be within 20-30 metres of each other.
