An unban request for scratchy (Steam ID - STEAM_0:0:34306903)

Yesterday, playing on the (I believe) KOTH Stocks Texas server, I was banned for starting a voteban on an admin. He was called in by somebody else who was complaining about another person on the server using votekick/ban to remove someone on the server that they didn't like for some reason or another. It was intended as a joke, as it is obvious to me that I would be unable to voteban an admin, but it seems that it wasn't taken a joke. I was kicked at first, then rejoined. Another voteban on the admin started, then me as well as some friends on the server were banned. I apologize for poking fun at an admin, I was unaware that a simple way of messing around would lead to a permanent ban.

Yep, the ban database confirms you were banned for "Trying to voteban an admin" by Darwin. I'm on the edge of my seat for his input, though if you're trying to ban an admin, I don't think you're going to have a good time. Abuse of the voteban command is not a joke.

After that I figured the issue was resolved, sticked around for a few more minutes and left the server.

Now, to my reasons. You have shown an immense lack of respect for someone who came to the server at 1 in the morning to clear up what is going on. You and your friends decided that reasonable communication is apparently too good for you and decided to solve the matters by attempting to voteban me. A three day ban for abuse of the voteban system, coupled with your bans from dozens of other servers for griefing and toxic behaviour is the least you could have gotten.

I'm not really mad at you, I hope you'll understand that this kind of behaviour is unacceptable and it will result in harsher bans if it continues. If your preferred way of making friends over TF2 is to voteban them, then I feel very sad for you and I hope you'll find more reasonable ways to do so in the future, as well as actually letting administrators do their job.

So, with that said, I am against unban. The ban lasts for three days only anyway, so suck it up and take it as a lesson not to do things like this in the future. As always, Staff is more than welcome to overturn my decision.

regardless, unban denied. a repeat of this type of behavior ever again and it will be a perm ban.
