+Dr. Obvious 14,606 #28 Posted August 19, 2014 I'd probably go for Cleric... yeah, for the heals. <.< Omniknight for the win. *coughs*
D-Bee 3,448 #29 Posted August 19, 2014 This is looking like I'm running it unless Nano steps up. I'd probably go for Cleric... yeah, for the heals. <.< Omniknight for the win. *coughs* You sure you don't want to run the game?
Nano 7,892 #30 Posted August 19, 2014 Excitement. Although I started this conversation, would anyone be willing to take the lead on getting this going? If not I'll do it, but it'll be some time before I can work on it.
fever 9,884 #31 Posted August 19, 2014 No rush as far as I am concerned. I think you'd be ideal to run it...you'll have all that free time soon too I also think DB would make a good choice...he has a very active imagination lol

+Skaila 5,462 #37 Posted August 19, 2014 IN AS WELL Can I be a werewolf? CAN I?! xD
D-Bee 3,448 #38 Posted August 19, 2014 IN AS WELL Can I be a werewolf? CAN I?! xD This is possible, but we would need a copy of Savage Species. You need to keep in mind that you still have to build a character like normal and then add the Lycanthopy on top of that so there will will be level adjustment - effectively you won't level up with the other characters until they catch up to your badassness. D-Bee 3,448 #41 Posted August 19, 2014 You ain't getting out of it that easily Fine. I'm just happy to have a chance to play nerdy roleplaying games honestly. I'll type up a character creation guide this afternoon and post it here. The sooner we have completed characters (that form a cohesive group) the sooner I can start writing adventures. Tentatively I'm thinking bard. I'm all about support! Bards are gay as Hell. Look into a barbarian warsinger or something like that. "Bardbarians" are pretty badass. Or we can put you in tights and laugh. Either way gunna be gud.
+Dr. Obvious 14,606 #42 Posted August 19, 2014 Unless Obvi wants the captains chair I guess I'll do it. No, thank you. Never DM'd D&D. I could probably recite the rulebook for Mage, but eh... Either way gunna be gud. Yes, plox. Barbarian Warsingers are awesome. Give him the guitar axe, please! (i know, no official item, but wtf, HEAVY METAL GUITAR RIFF FOR THE CHARGE!) Meanwhile, i'm just going to stand aside stealthily and hammer some spirituality in our enemies heads. While cau... curing light wounds. And such. Btw, are you going with the "spell refresh over night" or the "refresh after x amount of time when resting" rule? Just out of curiosity...

I really liked how Whitewolf handled magic with the paradox flaws and whatnot. Obvious, you'd play the most epic dwarf cleric the world has ever seen. Mages need spells, so whatever gets them in the game the fastest!

Mages need spells, so whatever gets them in the game the fastest! You should've seen my rather... ehem... disputed... dwarven warrior. "I'm the worlds tallest dwarf." Well, hit the wall with your head too often, rather. I roleplayed him (if needed) running around on my knees telling trying to hack other people's kneecaps off. While screaming in a bad copy of dwarven language. And being a major embarassment for the dwarven cleric in our group... "Yes, son, you did everything right, technically, but still, i'm, uhm, not sure if i, erm, can give you the dwarven sacraments and bless... yes, i know what you mean, but... NO, for the last time, you're NOT a... NO, THIS BEARD IS AS FAKE AS IS YOUR HELMET, YOUR SIZE AND YOUR RACE! SHUT UP ALREADY! NO, I WON'T DO ANOTHER DRINKING DUEL WITH YOU, YOU LOST SHAMEFULLY ENOUGH!"

EDIT: Starting my backstory now. Also looking into a special access sub forum. See you're clever Nano...I was thinking about what, when, where we might play so I could figure if I could join and then you mention back stories....and so it begins....having a better back story than the next guy xD Really looking forward to this...must remember to TF2
D-Bee 3,448 #49 Posted August 20, 2014 Aw dammit, Skaila's already got the werewolf-ism... Can I be a rouge then? I love rogues :3 Only if you wear tight leather pants. You wear them, not your character. creepy stare I told you guys that I would write some stuff to help you create your characters. I will. I'm currently working on your "home town" where you will all own small but comfortable wooden houses and safely keep your loot (when you find loot that is). The name of the town is Otorno which is elvish for sworn brother. It's a very small town surrounded by forested mountains, bubbling creeks, and green fields filled with wild flowers and deer. The rangers who helped found the town had a great relationship with a small clan of wild elves that live in the nearby mountains, and that is where the name of the town comes from. The elves are very rarely seen these days and are referred to as "Woodsies" by the town folk. This is a town of 200 people and enjoys the following services: butcher baker candle maker (has bee huts just outside of town in a field) jeweler (lots of silver and gold in this area) miners herbalist (makes medicines, disinfectants, incense, and soap!) grain farm vegetable farm fruit farm black smith potter (makes clay pots, dishes, bowls, etc.) tanner and leather worker shoe maker goat herder sheep herder clothing shop (rugged but surprisingly attractive wool clothes are made here) woodcutter carpenter fisherman brewer (makes ale, cider, and mead) winemaker ( an old couple that live outside of town. the vineyard is on the side of the mountain. everyone suspects that the elves help to make the wine.) tavern (basically where everyone meets up at night. there are very few visitors to Otorno) game hunter ( hunts bear, elk, and deer) patrolman ( a retired adventurer watches over the town) You will know everyone in this town and they will know you (or the you that isn't a dark terrible secret). It's a fully self sufficient community, but there is the occasional traveling salesman or adventurer passing through. There is no crime. Money is rarely used between locals, and when you owe someone you just pay them back when you can. This is a safe haven for your characters to come back to after some dungeon crawling, exploring, and fighting.
+Dr. Obvious 14,606 #50 Posted August 20, 2014 Oh boy. I need my D&D rulebook. Do you want to play this by the book, a.k.a. throwing dice, or would you prefer to have the action described and then say "succeeded or not"?
