BloodRedWidow 3,508 #176 Posted September 14, 2014 I wasn't logging the battle then . If people like this I may keep a battle log in the future as well. Please do! That was fun! =D So at level 2, I got +1 attack bonus, +3 reflex save and a special called evasion. Is that correct?

You also get 8 skill points plus your intelligence modifier (if any). lets just say I kept rolling natural 2s and the others didn't fair much better xD. There were some bad rolls on our fearless heroes side, and some crits on the bad guys side. A scary combination.

Yeah, especially after the first fight. I mean. Smash 2 folks to pulp with one hit each, just to be speared by a goddamn orc in the next one...
Nano 7,892 #182 Posted September 20, 2014 Don't forget to upgrade your characters to level 2 stats and put them in your character sheet on roll20 so we can get started right away tomorrow!
D-Bee 3,448 #183 Posted September 20, 2014 Don't forget to upgrade your characters to level 2 stats and put them in your character sheet on roll20 so we can get started right away tomorrow! It's an easy process. Roll your classes appropriate hit dice and add you constitution modifier (if any) and add this result to your current hit point total. Find your class in the Players Handbook and take not of changes to base saves and attacks (these numbers do not stack with each level, so if at level 1 your base attack is +1 and at level 2 it's +2 then your base attack is now at +2) and be sure to find out if you gain any powers or feats. Third, add in your new skill points based on your class and you're done! This whole process should take you about 5 minutes.

D-Bee 3,448 #185 Posted September 21, 2014 Can someone check my stats? If they're okay >> Looks right. Choosing archery as your combat style gives you the Rapid Shot feat automatically so make sure you take a look at that.

Nano 7,892 #193 Posted September 21, 2014 (edited) Heroes of Otorno Battle Log - Fort Dunstaff As they approach the top of the hill, the party looked up at a dilapidated fort. Fog covers the ground as the sun begins to crest over the hill, illuminating everything in an eerie glow. Was it just their imagination... or was the fog emanating from the fort itself? Made all of stone, with chunks of wall missing, the adventurers knew they would have to step lightly as they approached the entrance, swords and shields up and ready for battle. The entrance is a large, arched wooden door, peeling lettering above reads, "F_RT DUN__FF". Tal tries the door, to find it is locked. Eala walks up and with the barest touch of the keyhole, it seems to almost swing open. Looking around they see nothing down the dark hallway except for the light from the open door. Listening, they hear nothing. It is silent as a tomb. Slowly moving forward in a line down the narrow hallway, Tal notices something is off about the stone floor. Eala steps up to examine a possible trap. Finding one, she attempts to disable it, and fails. Tal picks up a huge block and tosses it on the false floor, which drops away with a loud SHUNKKKKK!. The bottom of the pit is layered with spikes and the pit is about 4 times his height. He leaps, and makes it across. Turning around he gets ready to pull others as they attempt to jump. Ironbeard takes the first jump, and trips at the ledge, tumbling down into darkness. With more acrobatic ability than expected, he somehow dodges the spikes at the bottom. Tal throws down a rope, and he ambles up to the other side, chest puffed out and with a glare that dares anyone else to mention the misstep. Callyn, not one to take a risk, finds a log from outside and lays it across the pit, proceeding across with dignity, until he trips and grasps at the log, barely staying on. Lin deftly jumps across and Eala follows, taking a hand from Tal to make it across and narrowly avoid falling below. Proceeding along the hallway, they come upon a door. Callyn cries out, "watch out!" but it's took late for Eala, Tal, and Skaila. Tal and Eala try to jump out of the way and end up hitting each other, stumbling, as they see a sawblade coming at their face. They get nipped at by the blade. Tal is scratched across the chest. Eala throws up her arms and receives a deep gash across her forearm. Ironbeard walks up to the door and pushes it open. A torch on the wall illuminates half the room. Tal barges through, looking around. Along one wall is a line of rusty armor, with a puddle of green and black muck in the middle of the room. SCHLOOP... SCHLOOP... A large gelatinous cube, 10x10 feet tall, stands on the other side of the room. Eala moves to the far corner of the room opposite the cube, and waits in the semi-darkness. Tal takes out his composite shortbow and drops it. An arrow flies and hits the wall, going off into the darkness, but hitting nothing. Ironbeard enters the room defensively while Skaila takes one shot, then another... both connecting with the arrows being absorbed by the Gel. Callyn moves into the room, and lights a second torch. The wall of ooze slowly moves forward, approaching the assassin. She runs around behind it and takes a stab. Tal lines up his shot and it hits dead on, with a dull CLANK heard as it sinks deep into the green ooze. Ironbeard rushes forward with his hammer raised and it connects, a large chunk of blob detaches and hits the wall. Lin moves into the doorway and takes aim with her bow. Another arrow sinks into the mound of goop. SPLURCH. Callyn throws one of his torches at the blob, it connects, goes into it and then goes out. The blob moves towards Eala, who deftly dodges out of the way instead of being absorbed. Eala strikes at it again, while Tal brings up his crossbow to take another shot, aiming at the solid-something in the middle he hit before, and connects. ironbeard swings his hammer again, another piece of the blob goes flying. Skaila pulls back her bow and looses her first arrow, another chunk comes off. Another arrow, another chunk. It suddenly dissolves into a pool in the middle of the floor. The party recovers their ammo and proceeds further down the dungeon. Everyone picks up various loot (I may or may not have been getting a beer...). Callyn tries to pick up the ring without anyone noticing, but Tal sees. Callyn then explains he was just testing his skills, which makes a lot of sense - after all it's good to know the abilities of your team! They continue to move forward and everyone notices another large pit, sparkling with electricity. Eala sidles up and disables it almost off-handedly. They continue and Tal notices another trap, Eala finds the trigger for the trap, and let's everyone know "hey, as long as we don't touch this bit right here *touches it*... AHHH!" She attempts to dodge out of the way as spikes shoot up through the floor, then sink back into the floor. A bead of sweat drips down her face... "I meant to do that, see, what's why it's dangerous guys". Ironbeard is interested in the trap and pushes Eala out of the way. Only problem is that Eala was holding the trap from going off. The spikes shoot up and impale his arms and legs, blood begins to drip out. "Obviously this thing works by spiking people... So.. if you don't hold down the trigger it goes off again... good to know..." The group comes upon a trap door, after a cursory inspection they open it up and head down in the darkness... they come out on a landing with two stairways leading down. Listening carefully the group hears the voices of Goblins, talking to each other as they dine for the evening. Edited September 21, 2014 by Nano first draft, will go back and edit after. This is just a running log right now.
