What kind of server do you want?

This is basically to get a feel for what we want for the minecraft server. 

 

If you have suggestions, please do suggest. 

 

This is the first of many polls and discussions. 

 

For the perfect server, here is my suggested list of plugins:

Offers protection for "faction land" which you can claim. You can declare peace, war, etc on other factions, and live in an empire-like structure. Great for a more RP feel, and for protection.

Locking your private chests, essential to protect your own items

Create a custom portal with a custom combination to an area of your choice. From your front door to your dark room, or your mine to your forest. It eliminates the dull entity that is "travel".

Just a side note, the server can be both survival and creative by using a plugin such as multiverse for those who wish to easily change between surviving and building some cool stuff

Such plugins use an immense amount of resources - and right now no one seems to care much for creative

My vote for creative is purely if we do the double world we discussed last night. As far as I'm concerned, for creative I can just make my own world and use it, I'd much prefer to see something vanilla with a few things to keep it going such as admin tools

Well if you use a plugin such as factions then you could protect your own stuff, but if we don't I think basic protection will fall under plugins such as LWC to lock doors, chests etc.. and for admins a decent anti-grief tool such as CoreProtect or LogBlock.
