Video games have always been apart of my life albeit playing a somewhat minor part. TF2 is just one in a very long list of games that I play mostly casually (ugh, filthy casual) and for fun. I first started playing on the Lotus servers mainly because of the instant respawn because I liked the fast pace of the servers. Then I discovered the "rank" feature with hlstatsx. Seeing myself at rank 50-something at first brought out the competitive nature I have for some games. All I cared about were points received each game. But over my time there climbing the ranks I met some really fun and funny people that I still talk and play others games with today. Now for me playing on the Lotus servers was less about ranks and more about playing with the people there. Team Fortress 2 is currently one of the only games I regularly play and most if not all of my time spent playing is on a Lotus server (at least since I picked up playing TF2 again since ~November 2014). The people I have met continue to make me come back to the Lotus servers. Since I play almost exclusively on Lotus servers I thought it might be a good idea to try and become a L-r. Hopefully I can contribute to this community in some way whether it is important discussions or just having a positive presence in whatever setting I am in.
