El Phantasmo 56 #1 Posted January 17, 2016 Hey Any fix tor the lagging on Chicago Dustbowl. It has been rough for a month or so?
Mana 3,867 #2 Posted January 17, 2016 I made some changes. Check it out when you can. Got guests so I can't check it out myself. And if there's any more issues then just message me here and I'll look it when I can.
+MrDongles 214 #3 Posted January 18, 2016 The frequency of the lagging is lessened but is still there rarely. I didn't notice any spikes when the server population was at 32. But I did notice them at 24. Probably no correlation there.
Hellfire 421 #4 Posted January 19, 2016 I was playing at the same time and can confirm that. The spikes are better from before and manageable. But of course it's still noticeable.
+JB. 4,800 #5 Posted January 21, 2016 Players on borneo chicago also complained about lag (65.60.32.30:27015).
Koopa_BC 1 #6 Posted January 23, 2016 (edited) Is there something wrong with the Dustbowl server still?I pay VIP, but havent used my slot in about 2 weeks because when ever I look at the server (usually weekdays and weekends, 6pm - 2am EST) It's usually just BOTS and an odd few randoms. I haven't played in weeks and am starting to wonder, where is everyone? Is it the server? Has there been a virus breakout I somehow survived? What's the dealio? - - - - -And the Laaaaaaag is still majorly terrible, could be part of the reason no one is playing Edited January 24, 2016 by Koopa_BC
+CashPrizes 703 #7 Posted January 24, 2016 Mana is the only one that could instill some changes. But alas, he's on vacation right now.
El Phantasmo 56 #8 Posted January 24, 2016 Server is still terrible. Its unfortunate. That server was popular. . . . .

Koopa_BC 1 #11 Posted January 26, 2016 Aye aye, I hope so.As much as I love Lotus and feel they need my $13.00 Donation, I do wish I could enjoy their servers some, with people and not BOTS
Koopa_BC 1 #12 Posted February 2, 2016 So is Mana back yet? . . . the server was Thriving for the first time I have seen in a while the other day, but it was still plagued with lag spikes, frame drops and other poop
+CashPrizes 703 #13 Posted February 2, 2016 So is Mana back yet? . . . the server was Thriving for the first time I have seen in a while the other day, but it was still plagued with lag spikes, frame drops and other poop It has improved since his last tweak on the server. A lot of users were saying that they noticed a 50% decrease with the "rubberbanding." It's still present, but not as frequent. As for Mana, he was back, briefly. But he's busy again. +CashPrizes 703 #18 Posted February 3, 2016 unfortunately there is no change still plenty of lag and such. Cash saw first hand tonight. The first 10 minutes were excellent. But soon after the 'rubberbanding' kept reoccurring.
Koopa_BC 1 #19 Posted February 3, 2016 It's across all the servers too I want to play Lotus, I'm sick of the lack of challenge on Valve servers
Mana 3,867 #20 Posted February 3, 2016 I will look into it some more.
koKo_ 350 #21 Posted February 4, 2016 (edited) I hopped on with Cash and Schim yesterday and had 1 or 2 lag spikes in about 15 minutes of playing. They were pretty brief but it was a near complete freeze. It didn't really impact anything for me, but if it's happening more frequently for other people, then yeah something needs to be fixed. OP said this started about a month before January 16...were there any big patches around the middle of December that could've affected this? Edit: grammar stuff Edited February 4, 2016 by koKo_
Mana 3,867 #22 Posted February 4, 2016 Has anyone noticed it on (Lotus) servers other than Chicago? Everything seems fine when the spike happens. Except ping. So I did contact the provider to see if they can look into it. But it's odd. I would not have expected a network issue to persist this long without someone else reporting it.
+CashPrizes 703 #23 Posted February 4, 2016 Has anyone noticed it on (Lotus) servers other than Chicago? Apparently it is occurring on the Borneo Chicago server as well. (65.60.32.30:27015)
Schimsham BootyBam © 27 #24 Posted February 4, 2016 For me I know it is definitely not a ping/network issue. I am hardwired and get 300mbps...sitting in chicago as well my average ping is 5-7. I will try and look a little closer the next time it glitches to see if there was an increase in ping but I have never noticed my ping was affected. Just complete freezes to where I end up further into the map, since I was walking.
Mana 3,867 #25 Posted February 4, 2016 Apparently it is occurring on the Borneo Chicago server as well. (65.60.32.30:27015) That's still in the same physical location. For me I know it is definitely not a ping/network issue. I am hardwired and get 300mbps...sitting in chicago as well my average ping is 5-7. I will try and look a little closer the next time it glitches to see if there was an increase in ping but I have never noticed my ping was affected. Just complete freezes to where I end up further into the map, since I was walking. I meant to say that it could be a network issue at the provider/datacenter level.
