Sinophile 41 #1 Posted July 6, 2006 Sup all, and welcome to The Debate Topic! Basically, this is a topic in which we can discuss matters not really relating to Battle Realms. All opinions are welcome, be it relating to Scientific analysis or Philosophical feelings. But please PLEASE PLEASE read the below guidelines to help communicate your message. 3 Steps to become a good guy. 1.Don't be an ass A successful debater always uses good etiquette, whilst avoiding bad habits. Some bad habits include bad spelling and grammar, insulting others, not writing clearly and weak organisation sequence. Some good habits are researching your case before making a claim, clear organisation sequence, politeness and courtesy and of course good English! 2.Have a neutral stance Be open to all that is written, whilst keeping in mind past information read. Consider all points, and feel free to question them. In addition, don't be an ass (As beforementioned) and try to debunk their points! 3.Don't waffle! Don't talk about shit. a)I can extend this sentance and it will still have the same meaning. b)Both lengthy and short sentances can communicate similar ideas. Try to 'compress' your words, so it will be easier to read and write. Try to avoid the 'block of text' by separating you point into segments. And thats about it. Each debate topic offically ends at the end of the week, I.e Sunday. And now lets be off! Debate Topic #1: Does god exist? (Try not to get emotional while debating, please!) Sinophile 41 #3 Posted July 6, 2006 Thats why I posted the above guidelines. It was to prevent people from being emotionally involved. People think that god doesn't exist, big deal. Also, I have gotten permission from Lord Zymeth to make this topic. So yeah. Here is a short thing I made to try and prove that god doesn't exist. -Why would God allow evil to happen? Evil does exist, and the world could be a better place, helping everyone. Theres about three days to reply in this topic. Just a small debate. But I guess it's a crappy topic. And once a man/woman surpasses those evils and comes out good, he/she will be moved up to the real utopian world a.k.a Heaven, and if the person submits to evil, he/she shall suffer with the evil in a dystopian society a.k.a Hell. If there is no war, then we don't need to defend ourselves, no need for all the money going into weapons etc. (unless there are aliens and we need protection) This is one aspect of the ideal society; this cannot happen though, let me tell you why...man is greedy, selfish, and uninformed. When someone acts pious, there is a bad apple to neutrilize him. (simply like the ying and yang.) But in this radical world anything is right or wrong, just depends on who/how many support it.
