{HeRo}GeneralDS 4 #101 Posted August 28, 2006 hmm it might be good in numbers, but like i said, it needs the ability to damage buildings as well...then maybe i would use it more...and those who think that the razor-edged boomerang is useless, then you probably dont know that if you get several buildings lined up, the boomerang will go thru all of them and units that are between buildings can also get hit, it will keep going until it hits any raised ground...so maybe it is useless to some, but others can and will use it to a good extent...so im sorry to hear those who complain about a bg that can be really useful in the right situations...its also good for damaging closely packed units, it will probably go thru them and hurt the ones in the way of it... It inflicts normal damage to enemies that's why it is not that special. {HeRo}GeneralDS 4 #115 Posted October 10, 2006 hmm well i now know that wrecking ball does affect buildings and is very destructive to towers in large groups, i took down a tower in about 5-9 seconds give or take with wrecking ball and some of the enemies just failed to kill my maulers in time hehe... lava rock is very useful against enemies like spirit warriors and possibly powder kegs, if the powder kegs are weak to explosives...i tried to fight a keg with a few muskets and the keg seemed to take a big beating from the muskets, even tho the muskets didnt have vital points or sniper scope...so maybe powder kegs would not stand a chance against lava rock, and i know that muskets are also weak to lava rock..so lava rock is useful in the right circumstance...altho u would need a druidess and a cairn to get lava rock hurlers...same thing to get maulers with wrecking ball... also upgrade the maulers with miner's union to make their damage rating go up...so they can hit harder with wrecking ball P.S. the testing i did was with AI and all clans were wolf, but i think towers all have the same defence rating so maybe wrecking ball can keep an enemy from trying to tower near ur base once they feel like doing it, if u have wrecking ball by then... I just don't use it because I like the other heros and bg better for my strategy. I'm very surprised that a few people picked shale armor over all the other bg! I would call shale armor the foundation for the strength of the wolf army. It's not beneficial to equip more than a couple units of one kind with a blessing from the druidess. example:(army of 8 ballistamen with totem) It's better to make 2 or 3 ballistamen with totem and the rest with shale armor. I don't know why people choose longtooth, he can throw the boomerang through the enemy and buildings, that means he can do more damage in one throw if he can throw more than one unit .... and it makes the boomerang more fast ..... if longtooth can throw the boomerang straight to a right way you will find his range is very far..... maybe you don't like longtooth, but the bg of him is very good ...... in a war grayback and longtooth's bg can make a lot of damage to the enemy.....
