Puppy Breath 0 #1 Posted April 7, 2009 I can play pyro and medic pretty well, and I do okay as an engie sometimes. Otherwise I do pretty poorly with all the other classes D: Any tips for.. i don't know, any of them? xD Which classes are you amazing at? Which ones are you just not so hot at? :
+Henry Spencer 117 #2 Posted April 7, 2009 I'm best at Medic and... uh... idk. Pretty much anything except Demoman. I don't put in enough time as Demo to get the pipe trajectory down. I know there are guides lurking around the forums, but sadly, I have no idea where...
Deadeye 0 #3 Posted April 7, 2009 Im good at Spy and above average at Sniper, I would say Im a good soldier. I fail at being scout and demo (generally)
Father 0 #4 Posted April 7, 2009 I'm a pretty good Heavy I think despite everyone telling me I suck and/or it takes no skill. I'm a good soldier and good spy. Rocket juggling / estimating trajectory is one of the most skillful things I think the game offers. I'm pretty awful at a pyro for some reason. Something having to do with aiming in some way that I cant lol Any tips for Puppy Breath... hmmm I would say keep your head up, that Bear Breath guy seems to like you a lot so you must be pretty awesome. Wonka 0 #5 Posted April 7, 2009 The only class I'm any good at is medic. Check the TF2 Wiki for class strategies and video tutorials. http://tf2wiki.net/wiki/Main_Page

Honestly? Heavy doesn't take much skill at all. Point and shoot in their general direction, dead. It DOES, however, take a lot of strategy. You have to know when to spin up, how to avoid snipers, and generally when to GTFO of the area and heal. Heavies with good strategy can really rock the opposing team, if they have some backup. Is going JDM 0 #7 Posted April 7, 2009 I'm a good sniper and scout and an ok spy and soldier. All of the other classes I'm mediocre at. Except demo. I suck at demo.
Oh Damn Oh Snap 0 #8 Posted April 7, 2009 Best Pyro, because burning people is always fun Worst...Medic. It's so boring to just sit there attached to someone accumulating points.
kuttlewug 28 #9 Posted April 7, 2009 Best at soldier, demo, pryo. I'm alright with medic. I fail horribly at spy and everything else. Some tips would be to play a bit of each class so you've got some experience everywhere thats what I do even though I mostly fail when not playing my strong classes. Rydawg 14 #10 Posted April 7, 2009 Best is Demo/Sniper Pretty good @ the others though
Melissia 7 #11 Posted April 7, 2009 (edited) Depends on how you rank it. I personally think my best class is spy, but my scores say sniper and engy are tied for my best classes. Meanwhile, of all the classes, I dislike playing medic the most, but apparently demoman is my worst class if you go by points (although pyro has my least amount of kills in one life, and demoman has my highest damage in one life). I have a three-way tie for engie / sniper / scout for most points. Sniper has the most kills in one life. Engie, of course, has my longest life. However, despite having the fewest poitns in one life, demoman also has my highest damage in one life. Edited April 7, 2009 by Melissia

Rivanor 1 #13 Posted April 7, 2009 Best classes: Spy, Medic, Heavy, Demoman, Soldier Worst classes: Sniper (I will always lose in a sniper duel)

Stabby McKnife-Face 17 #15 Posted April 7, 2009 Best Spy Scout Pyro Medic Soldier Demoman Heavy Sniper Worst Anyone can play engi, not listed, and anyone who has seen me play sniper knows I shouldn't be allowed to even select the class.
Chamrox 0 #16 Posted April 7, 2009 Best: Spectator Worst (in order of least suckage to most suckage) Medic Pyro Demo Engie Sniper Soldier Heavy Spy Scout I hate playing Engie so much, but so does everyone else so I'm forced to play it the most.. for the team. I'd say that, yeah, anyone can play engie, skill wise, but it is like the heavy where it is more reliant on strategy than skill. Most Skill Based - Soldier, Scout, Sniper, Spy, Medic, Pyro, Demo, Heavy, Engie - Most Strategy Based imo
Rydawg 14 #17 Posted April 7, 2009 to say the engi doesnt take skill is like saying the demo is all about spam. I'm sure you can all spam like keg right? oh wait....
Chamrox 0 #18 Posted April 7, 2009 I interpret "skill" to mean things like: -Target Tracking -Shot timing -body positioning -movement in relation to target -timing arrival at location to intersect -timing cloak, disguising, stabbing -weapon switching based on situation etc I interpret "strategy" to mean things like: -Where to place engie buildings on a map -remove the sapper or kill the spy -When to start building certain buildings -Where to position yourself as a heavy -What disguise should you use as a spy -how far should you chase an enemy etc Engie doesn't take hardly any skill, but a lot of strategy
Rydawg 14 #19 Posted April 7, 2009 Not to mention chasing damn spies away!

The Lorax 25 #23 Posted April 7, 2009 My best class varies widely with what map I am playing. Mostly, I am best at demo and pyro, but on maps like granary for some reason I can't kill a damn thing as demo, so I usually go medic or soldier. I can usually do pretty well playing as anything, but demo, pyro, and medic, are the only classes I can be top 3 with generally. I wish I were better at sniping, but I typically lose in most sniper duels. About the only class I can't play at all is scout. It seems like I lose all ability to aim when I play scout. It's almost sad.

My sensitivity is rather high, and my DPI buttons no longer work. Therefore, when I play scout, my sensitivity fucks with my aim so bad. Speed + high sens has never worked for me, even when I played things like Doom and Quake competitively.
Rivanor 1 #25 Posted April 7, 2009 it was Phatom and I vs /A/ hardly fair.... for /A/ Well, THAT changes everything. I usually go on the team opposite of Phantom because he is fun to play against, and is usually on the winning team anyway, so usually it is pretty fair. I guess last night was an exception.
