Donator Voteban Votekick Abuse

Hello ladies and gentlemen, I have been playing in the Lotus TF2 servers for a couple of weeks now, they are on my favorite list and unless they are full I don't play anywhere else. I just wanted to bring it to the attention of the administrators and clan members of Lotus that one of your donators, by the name of "[uSS]Scottie | M" really messed up the playing experience for quite a few players yesterday over the course of about an hour. One of the random players on the opposite team of Scottie was saying some dumb things, but nothing different than the typical TF2 shit talking which Scottie didn't like and felt that he had the right to kick/ban whoever bothered him. He initiated 5 votes against said player varying between kick votes and ban votes trying to get this one player kicked. Not only did he not explain to anyone what he did (he didn't do anything) the votes failed every time because everyone agreed that the player did nothing worthy of a kick or ban other then just being a little inflammatory but no more so than the average TF2 player. What bothered me about it was that he initiated a vote as soon as the cool-off period was over so basically he started a new vote every 2-5 minutes for an hour trying to get this one player kicked. I have no problem giving donators some extra privileges, I have a problem though with donators/admins who abuse their powers for no reason at all other than their own personal enjoyment, so can you please have a talk with Scottie and tell him that he does not own the Lotus servers and can't just kick/ban any player he feels just because, if it were up to me I would remove his kick/ban privileges but that is not for me to decide. I wasn't sure where to post this, I thought that the ban board is only for people who have been banned, anyways I'll try to get his steamid next time I see him but I have his steamid page saved on my "players you recently played with" list.

and I literally just joined the server and he was starting mute votes for someone who was not spamming a mic but was telling him to shut up. This is riduclus that this little kid has the ability to start these votes and annoy the hell out of anyone he wants. Please speak to him because regardless if it is a father/son who uses the account, the father is responsible for what the child does with the account and abusing donator privileges, note privileges (not rights) is really not acceptable.

I have 3 people who sometimes play on my machine. Myself 43yr old father of 3 and a donor. My son 12yr old who gets under boys skin because he beats them. And my 18 yr old daughter who knows not to talk because of all the stupid young boys who can not stop themselves from saying juvenile shit. When I joined the next day after my daughter was playing this asshat kept saying shit like your daughter is a slut and a whore bla bla bla and either sentex is a complete moron or just a blind idiot if he missed it I would guess both but I will not let it slide and I never see him on at all he was just passing through. I think I have plenty of regs who would have my back on when I use the kick/ban privileges if you have the logs I think you will see who was right on this one.

BTW they have there own accounts and machines they just like mine best.

If your daughter or anyone else is being verbally abused, record a demo and submit it on the Ban Requests forum (or even just send it in a descriptive private message to Mana). I know personally how hard it is to pass votebans even on abusive players, so the best I can tell you would just be to take the time to properly record any action that would justify their ban, and get their asses banned permanently. I'm not going to say either person is lying or that either person is right, though to be perfectly honest given the Gold Rush servers' reputation I don't even doubt that there's a disgusting quantity of asshattery afoot. Just take the steps to get it taken care of - a voteban lasts only 30 minutes to an hour where a properly reported and judged ban is basically permanent.

That way, no issues, and then make sure to change your password so the kids can't get on.

I did not need to take it that far I think when they see there name for a kick or a ban "that never passes" it is a warning to clean it up. If I run into a asshat I can always just leave because I do have a life outside of video games. I have not asked to ban anyone so it is real simple you are right there. I would be recording every game I played "no thanks". I became a donor so I could use these options. As far as this guy who started this post I found he was the antagonist and I will be recording any of his antics in the future if I see this want a be cyber cop crybaby for gods sake grow a pair you ignorant fool. I would love to see the maturity level rise but that is a tall order to fill with all the haters out there.

I missed your point? There is not an issue of who is on my account. I think I have that under control just fine thank you for your input on that. You might want to re read the first post! lets stay on topic. I trust MY kids judgment over most all tf2 players the only ones I have had issues with are players who are getting there ass kicked by my young son and it hurts there ego. And if I told my kids not to play I sure as hell would not need to change my password we have a level of trust "good luck parenting" Most of the complaints I get are about his high pitched voice not asshatery. I find most players have no problems with a father son combo and have meet some very cool people here.
