K-DaSh 0 #1 Posted September 1, 2006 Ok lets talk about this, it happened to me like more than 20 times. Im a serpent player and i have a lot of probs when my enemy picks dragon and build ups 3 watchtower with archers and settle back sending sams in order to get yang and aimin for the dragon spirit, in that situation im unable to atack cuz the opponent base is towered up with fully upgraded archers, so its so hard to kick their asses with canons or snipas cuz the archers rape them easily with such upgrades and geishas, also its so risky toatack the enemys base cuz he can release the spirit in any moment, so what i do is what EmpressTashiro teached me, i settle back too, fully towered with a line of snipas in the front of all my base with canoners back ready for smoke, the necro and some geishas and a field of mines, the strat is gay and kinda noobish but as soon as the sam is in snipas range he get killed, so the opp is unable to get yang, but it just works sometimes, most of times i have get owned by dragon spirit builders, with upgraded archers and stuff, so what i want to know if theres some way to beat these guys, but consideratin the enemy under these conditions: base fully towered, mass upgraded archers, healers, maybe arah and sendin sams aimin for yang to realease the spirit...which strat i can use to beat this guy on his own base or how i counter this strat if im serpent of course...ok plz give me some tips cuz im tired of gettin beated by this gay dragon strat. cptheslayer 2 #6 Posted September 4, 2006 ok, K-Dash, you can try to smoke as much as you can. of course it will be hard once dragon has spirit cuz you cannot send our entier force to attack. If you do, you would be dead. use distractions and hit and run. This will be hard too cuz of zen arrow. oh well, if you want to kill a dragon in its own base with towers, you will probably lose. If he has more than 1 spirit (if I dragonturtle I go only sams and I allways have sams for 2-3 spirits ready) you have no chance, cuz nothing of the serpentclan can survive 2 spirits. If he has just 1 spirit and is not one of the best BR players, you can manage it. Mainly use cannons (with smoke of course) + upgraded (1 yin for life upgrade, so they survive the spirit) fan geishas with the life fan. If your snipers are upgraded too (the resistance upgrade) you should mix in some too. Some melee (bandits + 1-2 ronins to slow them down) to keep your opponents range units busy may be helpfull too. So your goal (is this the right word?) is to get up your opponents hill. There is at least 1 tower. Get rid of it, you'll find a way for sure (e.g. let the tower shoot necro and burn it down). Now go up the hill, place necro in front of your range units, run in with your group of melee units (don't care if they die, they're just to keep ur opponent busy). The dragon player will now release the spirit on your range units and try to kill them with his heroes or other melee units. So when he rans after you, you fight against these melee units with your fan geishas and it will heal your whole army. After you beat his melee units keep on sending your reinforcements up the hill and slowly move on 1 tower after the other, you don't have to hurry then because your on advantage now. To me this is the only way. If your playing vs a top player and your serpent rush fails you mostly are lost... Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
[{BeatZ}]-BIG_aLvZ- 5 #9 Posted September 4, 2006 hmmm i have done this before and it works... scuurd of that damm DRAGON FIRE send in a few melee units to keep ur opponent unfocused and busy and send in 4-5 raiders with uprgrades for improved attack and range and quickly burn his dragon monument and also try and get the towers... dont run ur raiders back keep attacking the monument until u know its destroyed fo sho then do tha same wit tha damm towers... dragon towers give dragon a big advantage so taking them out lossens there advantage abit afta that dont rush ur units in keep them down back and slowly move in fo the kill.... tip- with mass archers let me say a good and simple way to defeat them all with serpent is the horses trample ability about 5 with upgrade will do the trick dont under estimate horses trample even though some people do they come very helpful in battle... i have beaten poolsharks dragon with my serpent and he destroyed my whole army with two spirits just dont give up and try to let ur necro survive because he counts as about unlimited units because theres himself, his 3 spirits, and his little zombies.... keep that in mind hope that helps... cptheslayer 2 #12 Posted September 6, 2006 Ragereaver meatn geisha. oh alvz, 4 to 5 raiders won't burn monument down. Not even with fire upgrades. That was what Ben thought, and i proved him wrong. He could not burn my monuement down. Not even a tower. It is ezier to burn a tower down than the monument, how can you burn down the monument if you cannot even burn down a tower. A good players always build a well or 2 near towers townsquare and keep and monument. In general, wells near any building that gives you advantages. If you are going to send raiders, it is a waste of resources and time. It is better to send a group of upgraded cannons to demolish the monument if you can get passed those towers and deep into your enemy's base. Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites
[{BeatZ}]-BIG_aLvZ- 5 #13 Posted September 6, 2006 most playaz dont make there mounement iside there base but on tha outside... think about it u 1st need a keep to make ur monument which takes time... with this u also need ur basic buildings which will leave u with very few space to build except in the outsidde of ur base... good point about tha wells cp but 1st u destroy tha wellz with canons if u can than burn towers near the munument ( dont worry about the other towers which arnt near the monuyment ) your main mission is to destroy the monument before it destroys u.... K-DaSh 0 #15 Posted September 6, 2006 thats true, anyways sendin canons is useless too, cuz the dragon guy tends to mass archers fully upgraded in tower, also tends to summon arah, looks like u gotta distract the dragon guy to let u demolsish or burn his monument..., maybe a group of 7 canons upgraded with a couple of geishas with dark pact would give the enough time to the canoners to destroy da monumant... If you upgrade a swordsman, give him an upgraded horse, and mass a group of say, 10, you have excellent Shock Troopers at your disposal. Use them to great effect against enemy archers and other projectile attackers. If you have enough, you can overwhelm single units while your bigger guys, like Ronin and Bandits, can use Paralysis Darts and Yang Blades to kill bigger units. Also, research Poison Tipped Weapons for Bandits and Crossbowmen.
