Screen Scrolling

My br name is cptheslayer. I have watched several br videos from Ben and Kasedo and others. These players used their mouses to scroll their screens. I noticed that most of the time, they scrolled pass thier targets and had to scroll back. Also, the units that they want to seelect are kinda off from the center which allows empty space. So now as the battle was going on in the other side, they had to scroll back to that side. Also i think there are many more disadvantages for using mouse to scroll alone. Since we human only have 2 hands, we better find the most effective way to screen scroll.

For me, i only use hotkeys that I use all the time. I don't use the arrow keys to scroll since it is so far away from my 1-9 keys. Also it is because i don feel comfortable using it. I use awsd keys to scroll since they are close to my 1-9 and F1-F9 keys. This allows me to reach for those keys more easily. Of course i can reassign the awsd to different keys but i don't even bother because I do not need to use them. Assign my building a number early in the game so i can select fast and use my mouse fast to upgrade. Think about it, we most of the time use yin or yangs to upgrade when we are not engaged in battle.

I also use mouse to scroll sometimes. But i normally use it for the mini map to make things faster. Mouse is very important for controling units. So y use it to scroll when you can assign other keys for scrolling? let say, when you are in a battle, if you need to select unit(s) and then order them to attack a particular unit that is a bit off ur screen. then you would either scroll there first or select first. This take longer than useing ur left hand to scroll and using the mouse in the middle of the screen so u can target any unit on the screen faster.

Well, this is based on my experience and i still find myself play better and faster with my way. I also tried to use mouse to scroll but i often get lost of my locations and units and had a really hard time to order my units in battle because i cannot see most units on the screen.

Please tell me about how you play with keyboard and mouse.

lol cp u have 2 hands, i have 3 arms lol, i'm so fast with keybord and mouse but i like mouse better cause the mouse i use is not the rugulaer as everyone used i don't hvae to move my mouse in order to move the arrow so i feel more free, i have other mouse which u can control by air via signal. i'm into computer too much so... that's what i ahve a laso have a keyboard withoutcable it's by signal too

Okay, for me, I don't need to scroll the mouse to the units I like to. I just press the number 2 times it will place my screen to that units.. Or Backspace?
