32 Player De-list Bypass File - Linux And Windows!

Hey Guys,

I added the most recent files released on the 20th, my server is working and there is 32 slots... however, it is no longer in the master list. The thing that is weird, I see other 32 man servers that are full being listed on the master list.

Any ideas??

NM, the Dec 20 engine.dll still works! :D

EDIT: Hmm, but I just got some sort of clientside crash due to some engine error. I got back in and it hasn't happened yet so let's see what happens.

Well i get Please update and restart in console withe the new engine.dll.

And yes i have updated the server.

Any idea?

That doesn't make sense. The DEC 20 engine.dll worked for me without me getting that "Need to Update Server" message but it's asking other people to update? Just to ease my curiosity, can I get confirmation from someone else that it actually did work with Dec 21st update? The servers that I help run used it and were listed on the master server list and ran with no problem throughout the night.

Apologies for sounding n00b, but I cannot get the 'NephDLBP.so.1.3' file to preload.

OS:

Centos

Starting Commandline:

The 'NephDLBP.so.1.3' is in the root folder, the bin folder and in the organgebox/tf/bin folder aswell and in all cases chmod'd to 0777

Any ideas?

Well it works fine for me with the new update and the new (21) engine.dll.

Got one problem though....Get this warning "Memory could not be read" And the the server crash.

Any idea?

I tried the linux fix, and occasionally I'll get a "MasterRequestRestart" message, followed by the old "Your server needs to be restarted in order to receive the latest update." message. And sometimes my server is delisted, and other times not. Is that a known problem? If this is just the best its gonna get, I'm ok with that, I just want to make sure I'm not missing something. I know it's loading, I see "Loaded NephDLBP" at the start of the console output when srcds runs.

I can conferm for 100% that the Linux version is currently broken. Do not use it at the moment, wait for a fix.

I know this isn't going to appease anyone, but - the custom version I'm using for my server has been working flawlessly, never having been de-listed. Of course, it is not fit for public consumption, and I am currently on vacation without access to my home system.

Just a few things:

1. The MasterRequestRestart thing occurs when a patch comes out (and 3 have come out in the past short while) so is this 'intermittant' re-apearing of this message related to that? The way the patch works it should either be 100% or 0%.

2. Are you getting the NephDLBP startup message at the beginning of your server output? If not there is likely a configuration change that broke it on your end as opposed to the plugin breaking.

I'm currently looking at it and will post an update shortly, hopefully. The current status, however, is "you're doing it wrong".

Ok, I just setup and ran a 32-man server on the public NephDLBP v1.3 patch and it successfully listed itself, and seems to be working otherwise.

If it will not work for you, please let me know the following:

Are you positive you really are fully up to date on the server you're testing? The "MasterRequestRestart" is also the message out of date servers get.

Is it listed when empty, and then getting de-listed when it fills?

Were these de-listings occuring very recently or last week around the time that cluster of patches came out?

Are you getting the NephDLBP startup message?

Does it work if you tweak the player numbers? Such as 28 or 33? (though 33 will crash clients when they connect with just my patch)

Do you get any errors? Specifically from "LD" / "ld.so" or NephDLBP itself?

The server was listed fine up untill this weekend. Thats when i found out only people were joining who had our server in their favo's.

When i boot my server, i see the message from your .so, the stuff say's 'if you payed for this etc etc etc'.

The server does not list empty, and neither does it list when having players on them.

If you want i can grant you ssh access to the machine so you can doublecheck youself.

The server is fully up to date, i double checked this by re-running the update tool with the verify all flag on.

Hi,

The server is 27 slots, with 1 slot hidden by Sourcemod for admins to join.

I have a differant server with a differant IP, which also didn't list, alltho it also ran Sourcemod.

I'll be back from holiday tonight, then i'll run some tests to see if it lists when i disable Sourcemod.

* Added player position data to server logging of events (player_death, player_builtobject, teamplay_flag_event, object_destroyed, teamplay_point_captured, teamplay_capture_blocked)

* Improved mapcycle handling to ensure it always loads new mapcycles when the mapcyclefile convar is changed

* Fixed sniper quick-switch exploit allowing them to avoid zoom/unzoom times

* Fixed an exploit allowing players to spawn into the enemy territory at the start of a round

* Fixed syringegun projectiles sometimes pushing players high up into the air, allowing them to reach bad map locations

* Removed an obscure rendering setting that would allow players to make cloaked spies appear fully black

Windows or Linux Version? And for the Windows version, seeing as this update is not required " While this is not a required

update, it does contain some very important fixes." I won't be looking into getting a new engine file up today. It's probably the same one, I would imagine only the server.dll got updated so the old file should work anyways :).

As for linux: NephDLBP v1.3 Continues to function fine on this new patch. If you experience any issues, please post here with as much information as is possible; The only problem I'm aware of is that the preload will fail on very specific versions of glibc in very specific situations (in this case you will get an error and no startup message) -- if you can reproduce that particular bug reliably, please contact me!

I can no longer get this to work on Windows Machines. It was working great prior to DEC. 21 update.

I have the latest version of the engine.dll and the player limit remover. The servers will not show on the Steam Broswer since the Dec. 21 update.

Is anyone else having issues?

May i ask if your using the player limit remover or the other limit removed. I think it was the hexed something?

Thanks! I will try again also. I tryed on all 3 servers, and it did not show any of them. I guess I could have made the first mistake of the year.. : )
