Summary: Guy was using the Pomson, a legit weapon, Barnaby was raging as you can see in chat and votekicked him just because he was using a weapon.

LOL. as funny as this is, It looks accidental. It sounds like he was jokingly saying "We should votekick because of pomson >.<" but if the first word is votekick and the 2nd the beginning of their name (as is above) it would automatically initiate a kick.

If it happened multiple times I could see otherwise, but imho, this could have just been an accident.

Doesn't look like an accident to me - looks like he tried to add the reason after his votekick, but for some reason the server didn't interpret that correctly and just started an 'afk/idle' votekick.

I agree - initiating an instant votekick on someone because of the weapon they are using is L-A-M-E.

yup. If the first word is votekick and the 2nd word is the first letter or two of a persons name (followed by a space) I believe it will instantly initiate a votekick, no matter how much or what you put after.

Example:

ProLoser: I'm going to

ProLoser: votekick Will for being a noob

Would instantly start a votekick against you.

There's nothing wrong with a votekick for any reason in my opinion - but it IS wrong to initiate an INSTANT votekick based on a reason that's not justified.

So for example, if everyone in the server had a problem with Individual(x) using a certain weapon, fair enough - if there's enough initial votes to START a voteban then it's the opinion of the entire server that this person is disrupting gameplay by using that weapon.

But if a donator starts an INSTANT votekick they better have a good reason for it (in my opinion). The fact that a donator is getting pwned by a n00b because he's using an AWP (or in this case a Pomsom - whatever the heck that is! ) is NOT a valid reason to initiate a voteban (again, all my opinion!)

This was not an accident or a joke, i guess you had to see how badly he was raging for the 5 minutes before the kick about how the guy using the pomson is a nolife noob etc.

I could have screenshotted more, i suppose if this isn't enough proof then next time i will make sure i have plenty of proof.

I only told Barnaby his name because i knew Barnaby was going to votekick him, i even told the Gritz guy via mic that if he was votekicked i would report Barnaby for abuse.

You'll have to excuse my pushback, please understand it isn't that I don't see where you are coming from, I do. In rl I work in compliance/legal for a fortune 100 company, so my standards of proof are probably a little higher than a forum on the interwebz (or than they need to be) when I cast judgement .

Two problems with that.

1. He never said anything before so you're example wouldn't work. He didn't go...

Name: We should

Name: Votekick Gritz etc. etc.

He asked who it was, said ok, then a little later did the votekick.

2. He voted to for kick so it wasn't an accident.

AFK kicks are never questioned. Its the go to for this stuff.

I'm thinking the Votekick didn't take so he started one.

I just noticed something.

The guys name is actually Grritz with 2 r's.

So if Barnaby typed out votekick Gritz as shown in the screenshot it would have said 'Player not Found'.

Barnaby had to have used the menu to start the vote.

Even I'm too young to have played that game when it was released, but being a retro-gaming-addict I have spent MANY hours playing MULE, and catching the wampus was a classic part of that game.

Racism has nothing to do with gaming. It had more to do with the internet providing you relative anonimity and you trusting that anonimity to speak your mind. A racist fuck on the internet is a frustrated racist in real life probably also homophobic.

I actually find it interesting; I was on a server just now where a common word being used was "Nigger", I'd love to know why they hated a specific class of people enough to call them hurtful words. I find it ... uhh... interesting. But sad for them that their life got so low to hate a specific class at the same time.

I made it clear in my admin application that there are never admins on the 2fort servers, however i play that server every day. I also mentioned in my donor privilege thread that there are constantly people being racist and flaming each other. I personally think someone needs to be there to keep it under control, atleast a few times daily it gets pretty crazy in there.

Then again, the slurs are directed at specific people making Barnaby seem like a massive douche-canoe. I thought that Barnaby could just be a mad thirteen year-old, given their actions, but the spelling isn't riddled with mistakes. From the text evidence I read on Cactus' comment, I think that this fellow is just some crazy lady who should learn to expand their vocabulary so they can stop making fun of the jews and start being more productive. Sucks that he needs to act like an angry cunt on our servers, sullying our innocent minds.
