I made it clear in my admin application that there are never admins on the 2fort servers, however i play that server every day. I also mentioned in my donor privilege thread that there are constantly people being racist and flaming each other. I personally think someone needs to be there to keep it under control, atleast a few times daily it gets pretty crazy in there.

Yea, they both play there Hawtpants is a pretty cool kid, so is Lollerskates but recently me and Loller are always on opposing teams and i always kill him and he gets mad at me I think he hates me now.

Back on-topic, i didn't mean for it to sound like all the servers need more admins just that server in particular. I honestly can't remember EVER seeing an admin on that server.

Also, i think Barnaby has learned his lesson today before votekicking he was asking if it was allowed. As long as he notices that people see what he's doing and what he's doing is wrong then i see no further need of a ban for him if the admins agree with this proposal. I guess if there is a next time NO MERCY!

In response to BabyEater, I do not believe there is an assigned admin for that server just yet. Though I do hop on sometimes and kill Barnaby Jones. Which will then make him rage and call me a Jew. It's unnecessary and I dislike it, but we are looking into how we define freedom of speech on the lotus servers.

This is the Freedom of Speech simplified.

The First Amendment is there to protect you in court, or public displays. So you cannot be arrested or punished for your opinions.

Lotus, as a private entity, can determine our own freedom of speech. Hell, we could decided no one names colors anymore and enforce it as we see fit. We are not bound by US law as far as that is concerned since we are not a court or a government building. This allows us to say 'Racist remarks? Nope.' and ban people.

This should be a decision on how we feel. There is literally no pressure from anyone besides ourselves on what is or isn't allowed inside Lotus servers.

Saying such, I'm for the temp ban of people who use slurs excessively.

Beating someone for voicing their opinion is unacceptable, no matter if it a sensitive subject or immoral. Opinions do not determine rights and you can't just go around being ritious about things like this. Your example is also an extreme. This is the internet where people can hide behind their keyboard and think nothing of the consequences. Seldom in real life will someone come up to a person and voice an opinion that would only provoke a retaliation as the one listed by you.

This thread is not about you, your admin application, or the 2fort servers. It is about a case of donor abuse.

Yes it was a bit off-topic, however something like this could have been avoided if an admin were there to regulate the server.

Back on-topic, i hope when you guys say a 3 month ban for donor abuse you're kidding. If i would have known that the consequences are that severe i would have never posted this.

I would think a few days and maybe removal of donor status would suffice... Buuut he seems to be acting better in the servers now, i think this thread has knocked some sense into him.

3 months is a norm for donor abuse. With great power comes great responsibility and when you abuse that power, the consequences are severe. At least it's not permanent
