Change Your Name Color Ingame (New Donor/admin Feature)

to me its just a colour and not a refelction on status of the player i.e admin / donor, i kinda like the idea of having a colour'd name, it shows i am at least supporting the servers and doing my bit

i have been called admin before - but a simple correction cleared up the confusion and all was well again

plus, even if you do have the default red / blue colour'd name, once round end immunity kicks in people get an idea thats you are admin / donor anyways, and then get accused of hacking

like the unusual hat effects, its something that can be turned on or off to suit the users needs, it does not have to be a huge deal that one persons name is green and another player has a purple name - it has no refelct on player abilities

Make us have a prefix for our title.

If people copy it they get a temp ban each time they connect with a popup explaination.

Sounds solid unless I'm forgetting something.

I'm worried about users using hard to see names and abusing privileges.

Admins don't really need a prefix. The point here would be to make it so donors don't look like admins. Therefor donors need a prefix.

Admins could have a prefix too, but once people stop confusing donors for admins (hopefully solved by their prefix) then an admin prefix is not really necessary.

Also need to come up with a short way to prefix/suffix donors. Like say *VIP* (in team color too to make it easier for people to tell the team). The shorter the better.

Well i think it isn't a problem if you're one of the people who say you aren't an admin. It's more aimed at those who would if they exist or if hypothetically in the future they do.

Not an easy problem to solve, giving people more fun and rights can just confuse things. I mean i've seen people on the server calling for admin or thinking i'm admin because of the recruit tag so i completely know where people are coming from. I guess the people who don't know might have to just learn? (I know it sounds lame like we're throwing the issue at them though)

I mean if we do have prefixes, that will just be another layer of bullshit that the average lotus player doesn't understand (much like the dark green vs bright green names).

I'm an admin and want to stand out somehow just like the rest of you guys, but are we really doing it for John Q. Average-Player or are we doing it to make ourselves feel important?

the colour of your name doesn't determine any kind of power... it shows you're either an admin or donor. one has trust given to you to keep the server clean, other is you paying for benefits .

Hola friends!

I would like this feature more if it actually worked for me. Changing it through menu, console, namecolor all do not work. I know 2 others who's name color does not change, but I know one other that can change it at will. I don't know what the issue is, but restarting it does not help either. So I am stuck with the nasty default red If anyone has a fix let me know and yes I AM a donor lol.

Sometimes it doesn't seem to work, then it will start working again at another time. I'm unsure if that's a bug or the server needing a reset.

I don't worry about it too much, have you tried this on other servers, *If applicable?* if you donated for select servers, try waiting till the map resets then changing your color.
