Barbaro 466 #1 Posted June 1, 2012 Is anyone looking forward to the summer? I hear it's not going to be as hot as the previous year, which may days/weeks/months of records were broken. I'm still hoping I don't melt and become part of the pavement....any tips on how to stay cool, besides the obvious of staying indoors and playing TF2 with the AC at full blast which is not only impossible as I need breaks and food, but unethical as if I don't work, I don't get money, no money, no dosh for Lotus. =< Who on here is actually going to be affected by the upcoming summer heat? (Think this is only in the Northern Hemisphere?)
Sinophile 41 #2 Posted June 1, 2012 I find that trying to stay cool without air con is a fruitless, never ending struggle, so I've reached 'enlightenment' and just learned to put up being in a pool of my own sweat all day.

Ouch....I cannot STAND the Heat. D: Sexeeeeeh That sounds frighteningly arousing. o_oI still don't understand why certain regions get SO much more heat than others, going into triple digits early before anyone else. Oprah's Moustache 80 #4 Posted June 6, 2012 It has to do with the sun! He like to get closer to some places, I think he enjoy's melting the faces off of some people. I love the heat, personally, I would much rather run outside for 3 hours in the sun, getting myself a nice tan! instead of trad ill for 3 hours! pockets 1,841 #5 Posted June 6, 2012 Already have a sunburned back from fishing last weekend. My skin is peeling off which is terrible yet satisfying. I've been seeking shelter indoors for weeks now. Heat + Humidity = Sweaty Ass + Mosquitos
Oprah's Moustache 80 #6 Posted June 6, 2012 Unfortunately for me, i've a very mild sun allergy, it makes me very uncomfortable and itchy, as well as needing to use a ridiculous amount of sunscreen. my luck! An athlete with a sun allergy...

Possum 10,776 #11 Posted June 6, 2012 I caught a glimpse of UK weather on the news. Sorry your queen's tea party got rained out. I pretty much avoided all the Jubilee celebrations, couldn't really care less. Except for the RAF flyby over Buckingham Palace, but that was only for the aircraft (I'm like a small child when it comes to planes, I get ridiculously excited). I'm not sure why the American media covered it so much. I know way too much about it now. For example, I know that the flyby got cancelled due to weather conditions. Barbaro 466 #15 Posted June 7, 2012 Haha...today, all of Dallas and Tarrant County, possibly others were sacked with heavy thunderstorms. Did NOT expect that to happen during this time of the year. o_o Wee, slipping and sliding at 80 MPH on the highway!
