Stats Reset

As per the previous discussion we have decided to reset our stats and start over. Another added bonus of this is that now all of our servers are on stats.

Ingame stats plugin will start working on most servers as they change maps/restart.

Is there an archive of the old stats somewhere or are they gone for good? Otherwise, I'm happy with this stats reset and the new HLStats page. Glad to see some of the plugins are working again!

No, that's the thing about GameMe. We don't have access to the database. While with HLStatsX:CE we have full access to it.

WTH Lotus...why did you have to reset the stats. I have played on your servers days and days worth of playtime starting from the bottom and slowly working my way up. The last time i checked i had gotten to #240. It was my hope to get to the top 50. I was ranked around #17 in ribbons. It felt good to know other players respected you as a good player based on your gameplay/rank. 95% of my playtime was in Lotus servers. I played everyday...a regular. Most of my friends like #1 Tomo, # 6 .....A Ive............, Tyrant Rave, Sparkling Wiggles, and Hound were all regulars on YOUR servers. Some even donors. They were all in the top 50 and i had hoped to be there too someday. But now all their points, badges, ribbons are all gone. What was the point...what a waste. Some of us liked to be seen as highly ranked. Why have a stat system if you don't care. I have a feeling a lot of the players you had will move on the other servers where they know they already have points there. I mean Tomo had over 800,000 points and days and days worth of Lotus server playtime and now he has to start off from nothing. Thats f'd up and you know it. I didnt even know this was gonna take place. I mean the regulars on your servers should have probably given more advance notice. If I would have known that all my points were going to be erased I wouldn't have stayed for as long as i did. The players/donors are what keep you running and you just took a shit on us. I dont know if ill have the time to spend another 1400 hours on your servers. You might go and reset the stats in another 6 months. Well done lotus...Lawl

Seriously though, the old gameMe system was a bit bugged and wasn't tracing the statistics for a while. Additionally, this has been done to give the new players a chance to prove themselves. If you continue playing as much as you do already there's no doubt that you'll reach your previous position in a matter of weeks, if not days.

hmm..

"Rank" does not work for me on the GER Servers, nor do I have access to the 24 server ranking system with my nickname. I only find myself for the 32 slot servers.

Am I doing something wrong then?

Check that the whole plug in seems to be borked, everyone is in last place when rank is typed in chat now

Which servers does it not work on? The plugin seems to be getting confused with certain servers.

There's actually "7 games" being tracked due to the way stats are split. So it's very possible it's reading the wrong stats on some servers.

EDIT:

I uploaded a new version of the plugin. This will take effect when the servers reload/change maps.

I haven't tested it on all game types. But I tested it on Degroot (which previously used Team Fortress X32 ranking display) and it now uses the correct rank data.

Check it out now. Should be corrected, and if not, I'd like to know which servers are still using the wrong data.

I was only on East coast Goldrush 24/7 X33 when i saw this happening when I was playing later on X24 east coast payload it was working properly, Its almost as if the plugin isnt able to retrieve the stats in game, It was tracking my kills live, was updating the website to check just no one was ranked when they typed it into the chat in X33 gold rush. Most appeared as last place, with no kill or deaths but mine and 1 or 2 others said we werent being tracked /shrug

Also is there any way to make the points and stats info appear in game like we had it with Gameme, where you actively see what points your getting, I know hlstats could do it in CS;S, least used to do it, not sure how the tf2 plugin works though.

Thanks to the Lotus admins for reaching out to me. I do remember checking GameMe stats occasionally and seeing certain sessions that I played on Lotus servers not being recorded. I agree that resetting the stats will motivate more people to play more often and that's what we should all want - more people to play with (I hate seeing empty Lotus servers). Either way I think we should reset the stats if it means more accurate recording with GameMe and giving everyone a chance to start fresh. I also like the idea of resetting the stats regularly to give newcomers the opportunity to climb the ranking. I suppose it would be nice to have some type of cumulative stats page so that the hours everyone has put in will still be recognized. After all, I blind Demo spammed a lot of people over the past couple years =)

If stats are reset you can reach the top much more easily now so why complain about trying to reach the top? I am currently in the top 100, before I'd never touched the top 500. If you play lots now when everyone has low points, you'll easily hit the top which is what a lot of good players are doing.

Go ask jubica if she's mad, she had over 300 days of tf2 play time, almost 200 more days spent on lotus than any other player recorded on the original stats. (she isn't as far as I know - and yeah she's a friend of mine).

Depends what ribbons you have, but you can just re-earn some really easily. But some are really easy to get, others really hard - if you want 17 easy ones use these weapons:

bazaar bargain, pretty boys pocket pistol, l'etranger, overdose or any weapon not used very commonly on the servers (look up the least kills overall with weapons and use them). In no time you'll have way more than the 17 you had. Lugermorph is pretty easy too as are all the weapon reskins (generally).

Yes I have not set the awards to run daily currently. I am still watching the stats myself to see how it performs.

I just ran the awards to get it caught up. But awards might still be delayed for the next week or so.

Just a heads up Mana, east coast stocks 4 x33 is showing x24 stats when typing rank into chat, its tracking properly on the site, my 33x stats were changing just the plugin is looking at the wrong set in game.

Addition, seems like dustbowl east x33 is also pullin x24 stats from rnak

Seems like all east coast x33 servers are looking at the x24 stats, they are tracking fine just not pulling the right in game set

Yeah I set it to do the check too early, before the plugin can even be aware of whetever the server is 32 player or custom or whatever. I could always check by IP against the hlstatsx:ce database, but I'm trying to minimize the queries.

So now I added a delayed secondary check 10 seconds in. This will update the game if its set incorrectly based on what the server is set to. Avoiding extra queries but still providing the same outcome. Hopefully.
