Is it possible to change the units summoned by battle gears (ie. making soban's ability summon a warlock instead of a golem)?

And does anybody have the values for all of the battle gears?

Since I will be somewhat busy starting this june until november, can someone make a mod for me? ^^ I've already changed a few things on my brealms, like putting dragon kenji3 on dragon's keep, putting serpent kenji3 on serpent's keep, putting kazan in the alchemist hut, budo on the serpent town square.

But I just want see a few more things in a mod, like:

1. The stuff I placed before.

2. Nightvol on lotus clan, but make it a bit balanced since it should cost 0 everything, like increasing the training time.

3. Putting a wolf peasant inside the Cairn will produce a dying guardian. (one with the activated BG). It would be like a defense mechanism for the wolf clan.

4. Change the Kabuki Warrior's Melee attack type into blunt/cutting. (currently magic)

5. Putting peasants in the warlock's tower to produce hordelings. The master warlock will remain the same.

6. Putting a healer on the wolf clan with ??? model. I haven't thought of a proper model for the wolf clan's healer yet. I'm thinking about putting Ghaila as a healer. Then replacing her with Kenji 1 inside the keep.

7. Replacing Soban with Kenji 2, so each race will have a different look and power of Kenji.

If anyone can grant me this mod, I'd be really really grateful, and I'll do almost anything for the person who will make it. As long as it doesn't include paying him or her. ^_^

Stuff I changed:

1.Replaced Serpent Clan's Enforcer into Budo. Allowing them to produce atougher but a lot more expensive unit out of their Town Square

2. Replaced Kazan with Kenji 3 dragon

3. Replaced Budo with Kenji 3 serpent

4. Replaced Lotus Clan's Reaper into Soban.

5. Replaced Dryad with Ghaila.

6. Replaced Ghaila with Kenji 1.

1.)No I can`t, sorry.

2.)this is possible, you had just tu change arah´s normal range attack with fire arrows range. her normal attack is 00

I'm not sure which Kenji 1 you want to be changed, neoren, so I'll just tell you what to do for all three of them (Dragon, Serpent, and the one without the sword).

Ok, so Fire Shield's value is 04. The address for the ability of Kenji 1 (Dragon) is 002289AF. Kenji Nosword's ability address is 00228BF3. Kenji 1 Serpent's ability address is 00228E30. Critical Strike's value is 58. Replace the 58 with 04 on any of the Kenjis. Just a warning, fire shield does damage, but no fire appears.

To give Dragon Skin to Kenji 3 Dragon, go to 0022997D, and replace the 58 with 0A. Dragon Skin is one ability that works perfectly, so have fun with that.

EDIT: I forgot to put the monk's zen trance in the list. I'll update it now.

Here's a fun fact: if you give regular heroes new abilities, the AI will have them use the new abilities. I just learned that the hard way when Shinja revived a force of 30 troops after I only had 10 left. :(

I've also updated the ability list to show which ones work (I wish more abilities were fully compatible with other units). I'll work on a list on the addresses later.

Is it possible to give abilities/battle gears to units that don't normally have any?

One more thing. Does anyone know what the Dragon Monument's ability is? That would be a great one to have.

Now on to changing hero battle gears. Each battle gear/ability comes after the Hero Portrait.uva line and after several FF's. Here's an example with Kenji:

There are two items that have black boxes around them. One, the 58, is the code for Kenji's Critical Strike Ability. The other, an X, is the symbol that corresponds to the 58. Let's say I wanted to give Kenji the Blade Acolyte's Inner Strength battle gear. Inner Strength's value is 11, so I would replace the 58 with 11. Here's the result:

Kenji can now use Inner Strength! Notice that there is no symbol to the right anymore. That's just because 11 has no symbol.

Here are a few tips:

1.BG's ALWAYS come after the portrait.uva of a unit (ie. Portrait_U_Kenji_1.uva, seen above).

2.Units that have more than one BG have their BGs paired up, and are separated by 3 00's. For example, the Brawler's two Battle Gears are Shale Armor(4F) and Zen Counterpunch(49), so you would just have to look for 4F 00 00 00 49. Check the list a few posts above for Battle Gear values.

3.Hero abilities are easier to spot than the battle gears of regular units. They are ALWAYS right under the portrait after all of the FF's.

4.Some abilities don't work because they need to make the unit do a certain animation or effect first. Check the list above to see which ones work.

As stated before, I don't know how to change the Battle Gears of regular units yet. I'm going to look into it more, hopefully I can find something.

EDIT: I'm starting to modify the kenjis now. Anyway, I'm just curious about this one, what if a hero is given a BG with charges. Like Flash powder (3 charges) or Smoke Bombs. What will happen when they are expended? Thanks a lot!

Cool, now I'm off to changing the colors of the teams. Anyone know a complete table of the colors? I only know black and white, yet i dont know where to place those codes. Thanks a million times again for all those who helped me. I'm starting to become independent now. ^^

EDIT1: I'm just curious about this thing, what if I gave, maybe mugging to a hero. Then another a swordsman approaches the hero and activates mugging, will the hero's mugging be removed since it originally came from a unit, or it won't since hero' cannot be stripped of their battle gear?

EDIT2 (again): I don't know if this is possible, but I think I have a solution to everyone's problem with the Dragon unit. Maybe if we can increase its life and stamina in a good amount, and giving him a battle gear that deals damage, like fireshield perhaps, maybe it can be a valuable unit. I'm gonna try it out now.

I'm pretty sure that you could only replace certain colors with other ones because of the lengths. I'll get the codes for you in a few minutes.

For the mugging thing, the heroes would still keep their abilities just because they're heroes.

EDIT: Ok, to get white, look for purple's code, which is:

Ok so now I give up, how can I make the dragon warrior turn into the dragon when he enters the dragon's monument. Sorry but I know nothing about the codes inside the Dragon's Monument. I would also like to adjust the cost into 150 rice, 150 water, 2 yang. And oh, is it possible to give a battle gear to the dragon?

EDIT: And oh oh! Is it possible to allow a hero train inside a building to produce another unit? If that happens, will the hero be available in the keep again?

Yes, you can put ANY unit in a building to produce another unit (even heroes). The hero should become available again at the keep.

I'll have to get back to you later for the Dragon thing. I'm not sure about this, but maybe you can give him a BG if you give the Dragon a yin/yang cost (he won't cost any yin or yang if you train him in a regular building). I'll start looking into this.

you can´t make that you can train the dragon in a building (or game crashes). you can just give the dragons look to another unit. but then you have the problem that the dragon cannot attack. you can´t solve this problem simply with modding battle realms.dat (i think you have to change something with the models). so it´s nearly impossible for a normal skilled modder to include a dragon in the game which is able to fight.

you can´t make that you can train the dragon in a building (or game crashes). you can just give the dragons look to another unit. but then you have the problem that the dragon cannot attack. you can´t solve this problem simply with modding battle realms.dat (i think you have to change something with the models). so it´s nearly impossible for a normal skilled modder to include a dragon in the game which is able to fight.

Could you teach me how to allow a unit to enter the dragon's monument and produce a new unit. I'm really clueless on how to do it. If I'm able to place a unit there and produce a new one, maybe I can do something about the Dragon issue that everyone's having.

on the first site of this thread is a tutorial ;-)

but i´ll explain it. first open my lists (you can download on site 14). than you go to the adress of the dragons monument.

as you can see there are many ff´s. go to the first line of FF´s.

got to a FF line. for the first ff, you type in the 05 (thats the peasents input number) than you count 4 FF´s to the right an type in the input number of the unit you want to have coming out. than you go to the next 80 3F on the right. In the field next to 3F on the right you put in a 19 (thats the training time). at the end you type in 00 for all FF´s in the FF Field in which you changed something.
