Teaser And Logic!

Recommended Posts

1. Like I said before, the teaser is written incorrectly to trick the guesser. Wolfbite is not wrong if he assumes that the word to be 'answer'. But Ben says it is wrong. Like I said there are many answers to the teaser because of the incorrect way of writing it. Therefore, Ben can say Wolfbite is wrong with just any asnwer since there are more than one depending on which path you choose to consider.

Now, I will answer this teaser and provide logics and reasons for it based on my assumption that the questoin is not "How many letters are there in the answer to this question?", but instead "How many letters are there in 'the answer to this question'?"(Note: the single quotatoin mark needs to be used to clerify the question). Now we can just count the letters contained in the single quotation. There are 23 letters restricted the word "letter" defined as alphabitical letter.

2. Nice Wolfbite. But your answer requires more explaination on the mathematical error. This can be easily done. There are 3 different rates presented in the question: $30, $27, and $25. $30 rate is the first rate thought to be the real rate for the room. $25 rate is the actual rate for the room which is only knownto the manager and the bellboy. Now the three men think that $27 rate is the actual rate because the bellboy returns only $3 to them and keeps $2. The question is arranged with this three different rates that make up the mathematical error due to the relationship between these rates. If you calculate using the $30 rate, then each man will pay $10 each and the bellboy keeps $0. The tatal amount is $30. Now if you calculate using the $27 rate, then each man will pay $9 each and the bellboy keeps $2. The total amount is $29. If you consider this carefully, in the second calculation is not wrong; it is correct because the total amount the you begin with is $29, not $30. Thus if you compare the second to the first, you may be mislead to think that $1 is missing. Now if you look at the real rate($25), then you will see that everything adds up to $30 and nothing is missing. The rate is $25 and the bellboy has $2 and the three men have $3: $25+$2+$3=$30.

How could you say that this is hard, Ben?

3. Again, the way the teaser is written is the key to answer it. Ben is only one person that can take pictures with a sword meaning using a sword to take the picture because he has a camera-built-in sword. I cannot take the picture because I use a normal camera when I take pictures. I guess, Ben should know what my answer is.

Additional teaser: the answer to the teaser is in the question.

Request: Please post hard teasers.

This is not a teaser, but in stead it is a philosophical question.

1. How do you think you know what you know?

2. How do you know that you are not dreaming now?

3. How do you know with certainty that 1+2 is 3?

Now, these are more challenging.

Cptheslayer, I think logical philosiphy kind of questions are almost seemed alike like the teasers, but I don't think you can define 'teasers' with 'logical' answers.

To answer hard, logical question, you rely on facts of what you know and what's already there in the questions, but to answer teasers, not only you needs the knowledge, but also a keen of eye,a certain amount of wits, and the idea to imagine.

Remember, the reasons teasers are different than logicals are that teasers can be anything you can imagine. Logical is fact, and that is it right there.

You tried so much to get to the answers of the problems. The more you try to answer something, the farther you go away from your goal.

But seriously guys, I wouldn't waste my times on these questions, because they don't really help a lot in real life(unless a contest or something....).

Do you guys have anything intersting to do, like doing homework, help families with chores, help the comunities.etc.?

I respect smart people who tried to question the impossibles, but don't waste your lifetimes on these. I mean, what good would this thing REALLY help you in real life? I don't think I'll daydreaming all day on how the world is round and the sky is blue. Unless you are or want to be a philosopher.

Then again, if you answer these questions for fun, it's okay. :D

Here are new bunch of teasers:

1. How many letters are there in the answer to this question? (This is tricky)

2. Why can't you take a picture of an Indian woman with a sword?

3. (Special Logical Teaser!!! - Figured it out well!!!)

Three people check into a hotel. They pay $30 to the manager and go to their room. The manager finds out that the room rate is $25 and gives $5 to the bellboy to return. On the way to the room the bellboy reasons that $5 would be difficult to share among three people so he pockets $2 and gives $1 to each person. Now each person paid $10 and got back $1. So they paid $9 each, totalling $27. The bellboy has $2, totalling $29. Where is the remaining dollar?

Special Teaser!!!

Johnny's mother had three children. The first child was named April. The second child was named May. What was the third child's name?

Here let me give a try.

1. six

2. ???

3. they paid the hotel 25$, and each of them received 1$ back= 28$ and the bellboy kept 2$ equaling 30$. This is so because when 30 is divided by three then you get 10, and when 27 is divided by 3, you get 9. One dollar is lost due to mathematical error. The wording is there to fool the person into thinking differently.

I havent seen any1 think about that sword 1, its because u take pictures with a camera, NOT a sword lol, u kood kill her tho :P lol

Ok. Here we go again... Hehehe...

1. Cross out six letters and you'll find a word that we should know. The word must be spelled out in order.

SBAIXNLETATNERSAS

2. If an Ostritch lays an egg on the line that separate USA and Canada, who owns the egg?

3. Guess the word or phrase I've been wanting to tell you?

Youth vanishes when I always come

Over me is the brightest light

Under me are lovers looking at me

At morning, I can't live

Rest is my duty on morning

Every night I come to work

To be more than a billion years old

Rough work it should be

In times, I get tired but still rocking

Covering darkness to light

Keep on working to give you path

End is impossible for me

Darkness never prevail.

Special Teaser!!!

I woke up one morning, and said to my mother, "Happy Birthday mother!"

She chuckled and laughed and replied, "No son, today is too early, and tomorrow is too late." I smiled because I knew exactly what she meant.

How is this possible?

Wow! You got the hardest one right.. and that's number 3!...

About number 1...  Six has only 3 letters, not 6

About number 2...  Read the question carefully....

6090[/snapback]

Also 4 is said to be wrong by Ben. Seems to me that 4 is wrong because 4 is not a letter. The answer is FOUR. count it and u get 4 letters.

1. Elongated fruit of a treelike tropical plant or the plant itself.

2. The very large flightless bird owns it.

3. Something that is not a planet and does not emits light; it rotates around the Earth and reflects light. We can see it mostly at night.
