I guess I misunderstood. I thought the whole point of us having a MGE server was so it could be private. There are other MGE servers out there, so if ours is public...there's nothing special about it.

The thing is, there isn't a reason for it to be private. It'll probably be 33 slots, and if it ever gets full, Lotus has reserved slots. Keeping it public will help keep a population on it, but still allow some fun 1v1 against other lotus members.

In the end it's up to Mana/Staff, so who knows.

Umm why would you want private? Do we even have private servers? x)

I'm happy we are getting mge server and I hope it will be full with lots of good players regardless if they are in lotus or not :3

A private MGE server would be full maybe 2 times each week. A public one has the potential to be full 7 days each week.

If there's a massive cryout, a private server for Lotus recruits/members running any gamemode can also be set up - it's not a problem at all. It's more about how much would that server get used. Setting up a server which runs 24/7 just so that it can be used for a few hours every week is not exactly the most cost efficient way of doing things, and we have plenty of servers to fill even as it is. Setting up a public MGE server, however, ensures that when we're not on it, other people can use it and enjoy its benefits too

Passwords can always be added if there is the need. A public MGE server gives better advertising for Lotus.
