koKo_ 350 #1 Posted January 29, 2015 Ok I just took a recommendation to get the quake 3 hitsound for tf2, got it, but when i got in game, i could barely hear the hitsound. I googled it and put //Sound tf_dingalingaling "1" tf_dingaling_volume "5" tf_dingaling_pitchmindmg "255" tf_dingaling_pitchmaxdmg "1" into my autoexec, but i feel like it does nothing at all. Anyone else know what to do?
Infin 763 #2 Posted January 29, 2015 Those are strange values to have for the pitchmindmg and pitchmaxdmg, considering the default for both is 100. I recommend you watch this video from Tagg about console commands, at about 9:30 he talks about dingalings.

Gloves 945 #4 Posted January 29, 2015 I agree with Infin, those are some weird values. tf_dingaling_pitchmaxdmg "20"tf_dingaling_pitchmindmg "150" dats wat I use for my quake hitsound (dunno if its quake 3 or not) If it has nothing to do with that it could just be you downloaded a shitty hitsound file and it's really low by default
luop90 4,400 #5 Posted January 29, 2015 This is the one I got off of tf2-mate, and it works beautifully. tf_dingalingaling "1" tf_dingaling_pitchmaxdmg "66" tf_dingaling_pitchmindmg "133" tf_dingaling_volume "0.75"

- Mike - 2,728 #9 Posted January 31, 2015 Hmm, once you are in game open up console to see what the 'tf_dingaling_volume' is set at. If it's low set it to 1. (max volume) Other than that, check your cfg's to see if you have 'tf_dingaling_volume' set to a low value, which would explain any variable resets. Or maybe the source hitsound is just too quiet.
