Why not try to make a team or teams for dota? Not saying pro, but at least get a team or two going which will compete in matches.

 

We can do this seriously or for fun. As I said, we can create two team: one for serious gameplay, one for "fun" and see how it works. I'm not entirely sure how it works yet, but want to gauge interest first.

I'm down for playing in either team.  I have a lot to learn yet about the game but playing in some sort of noob league would be fun.  The more serious stuff can come at a later date.

 

Going off how HL went, we certainly won't be the worst team out there.

If I was gonna suggest/prod/shove people into the limelight for this I'd suggest the following....

 

Skaila for leading the fun team because most chilled DotA player of all of us I'd say

Caterpillar for leading the serious team because he has shown an interest and a knack for leading teams in dota.  Others would also be suitable but he's been the one who has told me he has an interest in strategy etc.

I'd help out with the leg work, arranging scrims etc.

In other news I'm waiting until we have enough players for a SHOM match. I could bring people you don't know from my friends list but it would be better if we know the people.

So get the league thing going, get enough people playing regularly for SHOM, then team(s) for some community tournament/league...baby steps

We hopefully would have two teams as already said, and one team can get subs from the other which would work quite well I think. We all have a relatively similar ability level more or less.

I have a team in my head which I think would work quite well for lols.

There has been chatter about a less serious team of Skaila, Badger, Obvi, Nost and myself. I think it might have progressed a bit but Skaila hasn't played much in recent week(s). I'll have a look at events coming up and post some details so we can come up with a plan.
