If you don't play for 5 days or so you start loosing skill points (that way people who played a long time ago wont be ranked #1).

Yep, it doesn't like me. My activity percentage just dropped to 26% even though I've played everyday for the past 10 days.... It was at 90 somethin earlier....meh, O well.

They are updating fine now every 2 hours. (Meaning it will take 2 hour intervals to fully update every all stats from all our TF2 servers)

mana ur not understanding at all, jengo has a somewhat similar problem, what i'm saying is after a really good game on my behalf, my skill points would go down, it's been like that for some time now. this is the last ever thing i'm gonna say bout the stats cause they seem to not be working for me.

Yeah, I do get that too. Its all messed up for me though. At one point, it had a game session for me which was a little less than 30 minutes long, yet it showed I had 200+kills and 130+ deaths. Considering I was on 2fort, and the respawn times between deaths...yeah, ok that happened, I believe it That game session has fallen off the page now, but I'm sure it will probably show up again like that. It usually does.

But yes, what you're saying does happen as well. Where your KDR is higher than your average KDR, yet you end up losing skill points for that session. It doesn't make a lot of sense to me either.

But hey, at least it doesn't have you playing on a map before you were born like mine does, lol.

If this was when the stats were broken. Ignore it. They are working OK now.

If it still happens, don't play on the losing team.

stats are pure E peen, i could really care less about them and you should too. I only use them as a slap in the face to camail

edit: use them to keep track of your K:D spread and your online time/map/and weapon kills/deaths , ignore the skill and rank because they truly don't matter.

I think stats are nice and is the main reason I started playing on the Lotus server. That, of course, brought me to the website and so on. And to all you people who say that stats aren't important, than why do you care about ladders? The point is to try and be the best, and the competitive spirit is what makes games fun. Then again, I'm the kind of guy who can't even play Uno with without keeping score. But if there's no winner, what's the point?

Anyway, I think it's time we all show Mana a little love for putting up with our not understanding the stats and complaining about it. The fact is that the stats on the Lotus servers are way more detailed and accurate than anything I've seen. Case in point, I saw an engineer build 100 sentries in one round of dustbowl. His rank went from 100 to 33. I think that server used another type of stat server that is popular on a lot of the servers out there.

I believe the problem that most people have with the stats (besides the skill scores being reset) is that no one seems to really understand how they work. It makes sense that your rank would go down as people may pass you, but the true question is what makes your skill level go down?

It seems to me that the higher your skill level is, the better you have to do individually. So if you get killed a bunch of times by someone with half the skill level as you, your skill level will actually go down even if you have a 2:1 ratio.

I think the problem is that sense everyone's skill level has been reset, everyone besides Mana basically are within 2000 skill points of each other. This makes it hard to have your skill level go up because basically Mana is the only one who is going to give you a lot of points by killing. The other problem is that as you start to "level" up, there are several good people who are still in the lower ranges who can kill you a lot of make your level go down.

I'm also wondering if your team can affect your stats. Such as if you team loses a lot, than you may actually lose skill points despite a good K:D ratio and such. My final thought is that as the days go on, and people's skill levels start to separate more, this confusion will start to pan out.

This is all just me thinking out loud, and I have no real evidence to back up these thoughts. On a side note, I never knew that this thread would get so much attention.
