P.S when gathering horses and there are no more horses dont let him stand there and wait for horses so he collect them again make him gather rice and once there are enough horses go and collect them.... plz share your ideas guyz.... [LOT]rundown 3 #4 Posted August 10, 2006 You have to wait for it to come first. About micro, it's about not letting your units die. What do you think "Every warrior has a name" means? Well it means that every unit is important and you can't let any of them die. Every unit adds to your army and that unit could be crucial to your victory. cptheslayer 2 #5 Posted August 10, 2006 I strongly agree with rundown. Micro depends on each individual player; you can know all your opponent's weaknesses but if you micro is bad, then you will just lay dead. My expanded tip on Alvz's tips: Never let peasants get idle. Don't let your peasants be waited to train. If you get to know your peasants and have mercy for them then you will know how to use shift+alt keys to command them to get rice or water one or 2 times then have them train. This way your peasants get you more resources while waiting. Oh I know how long it might take a peasant to train and how long it takes to get rice so, just do the calculation and your peasants will do much work for you. For my experience, I use shift+alt keys to order my peasants to get rice or water 1 or 2 times, then have them train. This way they do not have to wait without doing anything and i do not have to order them again and again while i am attacking or defending. My other tip: always scout what your enemy has b4 attack. Do not underestimate your enemy after u counter and do not just rush in to attack without scouting first. Another Tip: Do not mass tier 3 or 4 units and not attaking right away. Every unit has its own weaknesses. If you mass tier 3 or 4, then you cannot change your army's weaknesses. When much time is allowed for you enemy to make the perfect army to destroy your high tier units, do not come and blame me. It is much better to use tier 1 and tier 2 units first. Then when you are about to attack with your full force, u can decide to train tier or 4 then attack immediately when your oppoenent's finds out or just have fun. One tip for Alvz: Do not depend too much on sc. sc does cutting damage. sam ronnins, berserker and masterwarlocks take little damage from sc. Did you see our game, your sc didn't take much life from my mwarlocks. Tip for lotus: Isle's Haste is very helpful. Haste can enhance dw sc and others such as mug.... For me, i use haste on dw or mug then run them to drain stamina or mug my enemy and my sc warlocks are running fast behind dw and mugger. It is too fast for mos enemy to see and think of what to do to counter this. When there is a sc war, do not get distracted by Koril killing peasants and forget about activating your dc. If you get distracted then about 90% of your whole army lay dead after the B key is pressed. Most lotus use warlocks and warlocks has low armor against cutting. Tip for Serpent rush: this mostly works against Dragon. Build a hut in your own base and then another hut in your enemy's base and 1 or 2 Taverns and the musk building depending on wat dragon build. Do not get scared of tower, Dragon will often build a tower to defend, but tower will not help much. Only use 3 peas to get rice and 1 to get water in your own base. Later you can run 2 of your peas to train. First train swords then a few musk and raiders. swords will slow dragon to allow you time to train musk and raiders. 2 raiders are enough to burn. Melkor uses this, this is not my strat. I played against it, but i lost. It is every effective. PS: This is for Alvz, in our game your wolf v my dragon, you controlled only your slingers to burn and forgot about your other units. That allowed me to kill you even though all my training buildings are gone, but i got plenty more resources.
[{BeatZ}]-BIG_aLvZ- 5 #6 Posted August 11, 2006 hmm yeh i learnt alot from that game.... thx for contributing and extending on my tip.... very helpful and a nice essay lookin answer u got there.... 2nd tip 2> This is a something most people forget and if you remember this your gaming experience for any game will be much more fun for everyone expecially yourself... BR is a game and should be treated as one dont take it to seriously if you lose thats nothing because you can only get better, just remember winning isnt everything u get your days and u dont get your days practice makes perfect... hehe post ur wins against me and ima post my wins against u work like dat unless i cant beat u den u lucky lolz... Speedy 11 #7 Posted August 11, 2006 I have beaten the Taverns in your base strat before with Dragon, the trick is to kill there peasants before they get into training, also make sure you get a tower up quick if you see he is going to rush you from your own base. If he/she is clever they will destroy your tower before units, though some people try to kill your units first, which works to your advantage because you can run them around and let the tower do the work for you. [{BeatZ}]-BIG_aLvZ- 5 #8 Posted August 11, 2006 nice tip bax... i dont intend to let the tower stand that long i go in wit 2 or 3 burners and burn the tower down and any other buildings i can burn within my reach and escpae with little damage.. once towers gone send in the army i have been workin on and hopefully kick there ass.... [LOT]rundown 3 #9 Posted August 12, 2006 What happens if they put the fire out and repair the tower though?
[{BeatZ}]-BIG_aLvZ- 5 #10 Posted August 13, 2006 then go in for a second round of burning u should know this run... go from any way possible which wont let your raiders get killed and if they have snipers then just forget about it u cannot come in wit raiders alone and hit and run if they do.... but its still good to hang on to your raiders and once u attack u send in your raiders and while your men are attackin you burn at the same time... IndominusRex 13 #11 Posted August 13, 2006 Hello Alvinz! Thank you for making this thread... I know you did read my guide for Sepent against Lotus, some of them are helpful too. Here's are some tips. 1. If they have more units than yours, use your peasant to fight theirs while your 1st tier units attacking them. 2. Building with Shift key helps you to save your time. For example, while your 2 peasants build a hut for rice and you need one more for water. While they are building the first hut, hold Shift + ALT and build another hut near water and release both keys. After the 1st hut, the 2 peasant wills automatically build a second hut very fast. 3. If their snipers are in a line, do not attack them horizontally, rather, attack them vertically if you can. 4. Hit yellow life first! 5. If one of their unit is in red that trying to run, kill it! 6. When you rush, but she/he is trying to build a tower. Kill the peasant whom build the tower, not the tower! The best thing to do is all to the peasant and one to the tower. 7. Five on Rice and two on Water is the best resources gathering for the Serpent clan. 8. When you use raider to burn wolf's tower, do not scare to hurler. 9. Alt for running, not double click. 10. Knowing when your unit's health becomes red, read to fun or heal. 11. Healer at the back, for druidess, at front. More tips.. Any Ideas?
cptheslayer 2 #12 Posted August 13, 2006 I posted about the shift+alt key. well i did not say anything about using these keys for building. thankx Ben for telling them. I use these keys alot for building harvesting and training. Another Tip: use way points. Reset way points when your attack location is changed. About Towers: hit towers first if they are nearly killed, forget about the peasants reparing them. If the towers has lots of health, then do watw Ben says. Another Tip: Do not just give water to your units, give water to yourself too. We all should drink 2 liters of water a day. So build a well next to your pc and train a serpent geisha with the fan BG. You will appreciate this if you are stupid enough to try to do it.
[{BeatZ}]-BIG_aLvZ- 5 #13 Posted August 13, 2006 LOLZ cp i liek ur last tip newaiz here are my tips i have put on the wike... BATTLE REALMS HINTS AND TIPS Hey players i just wanted to share my hints and tips to you all and also if you new players want some help they have some place to go to.... TIP 1> Never leave your pesants idled ( standing around doing nothing ) you know if there is a pesant standing around doing nothing if there is a pesant sign in the middle of the box in the centre... TIP 2> When building a large army its good to mix up a variety of units ( remember a good choice of units means more damage to the opponent because each unit have there own strengths ) TIP 3> A good defence is a good offence. Most people work on an army built for attack but when they attack and its not strong enough and die they have to build a defence force strong enough to hold up an army which then they rush and in most cases lose.... TIP 4> I tend to use shift + click to make a unit more busier and so he doesnt idle. This makes your unit do something and once it finishes it does the next thing you ordered without having to click on him again. TIP 4> Its ok to lose remember winning isnt everything. People have there good days and there bad days but also u cant expect to win if you havent enough practice. This is a good saying and goes for me alot " Practice makes perfect ". TIP 5> Once you have learnt the basics of the game try to learn different types of strategies, plays and tactics. Go beyond the border and think of strategies people have never used before. This can be a real big weakness to a player if he/she uses the same tactic always. People can find weaknesses to it and then your over. Make people guess what you are planning to do that way they gonna have a harder time trying to figure out how to beat you. TIP 6> Learn each units from every clans weaknesses and strengths. Learn the clan you like the most and then after that learn the other clans it wont hurt and also it will help you to maintain a healthy knowledge of the game for you to be able to win more easily... TIP 7> Learn good micro ( The ability to control your units ). With this even an expert will have a hard time trying to kill your men. Snipers and mugs are a good way to practice getting good micro ( Serpent clan battle gears ). Once you have gotten yellow life on a unit you should send him back behind the army and let him shoot from there. That way he wont be hit as easily and live longer. TIP 8> Never underestimate your opponent. Ive said to many players never underestimate your player because if you do this you will become to cocky thinking you will win and not concentrate on the game as much. Also nobody likes a cocky person hehe. TIP 9> Have fun. Its a game and it shouldnt be taken to seriously. Games have been made for entertainment purposes and if you lose theres no reason for you to get all crazy about it. Sure you get angry but is it real worth it to discourage yourself and make yourself feel less of a player than your opponent. Never back down from a game fight until the end. That way if you lose you can " I tried ". I will add more when i have thought more, Hope this helps....You guyz can add you own tips in here if you want all opinions welcome just make sure they have not already been written and if its not your idea make sure you say whos it is. BloodyMary 0 #17 Posted August 18, 2006 ive alwayz got eeeehm about 3 or 4 teams? its 7 for heroes and necro, 1 for my army, 2 for the army in reserve, 3 for the main peshut and 4 for the keep :X

Sinophile 41 #19 Posted August 19, 2006 When range units, especially muskets, are arranged in a vertical line and are firing against you, attempt to attack them from the top or bottom of the line. Expanding on Ben's theory.
cptheslayer 2 #20 Posted August 19, 2006 I say using too many hot keys can slow you down. I only use 1-4 for units. 1=melee 2=range 3=range 4=healer 5=peasanst 6=building or tower 7=bulding or tower 8 and 9 = BG buildings Of course since there are too many buildings, i change my hotkeys to the most frequent used for upgrades. For Serpent: 1=muggers and Vetkin 2=snipers 3=cannons 4=healers 5=peasants(after getting nekro and heroes, i change this hot key to Nekro and/or heroes) 6= tower 7= keep 8= BG building 9= BG building (so i can set waypoint, of course i don need to upgrade anymore since i would hav done it early in the game). [{BeatZ}]-BIG_aLvZ- 5 #21 Posted August 20, 2006 damm snipers shud alwayz be at back of army i see many people make this mistake by putting them at tha front and all u need is 1 shot of a mug for u to lose all ur snipers... They are very expensive...
