Bad capitalization in the title, OH NO!

Classless Update

Useless update, besides the arena map (IMO).

Don't get me wrong though, the new hats are a neat bonus, I just think we could use other things first.

There's still days to go. This is just like any other update, with day-to-day updates, only without a class focus this time. Also, the announcement of 2 new helmets per class (HELLO PYRO FIREMAN'S HELMET) and a really good community arena map isn't anything to shake a stick at for a game you don't even have to pay for the updates to, or to play whenever you want. Patience, young one.

I know right? That was the center of this post. I don't mind the extra hats, they're neat, but other more important things should be priotitized.

fuck the more hatstyles, increase the chances of getting hats and put the trade system there. I have extra hats I can give for a spy or scout hat.

p.s. 2 extra pyro beanies,medic hats and a sniper trophy belt hat ready to trade.

Meh. DLC FTL. Either take time to put the content in before release or don't add it at all. If it wasn't in the game during release, why should it be released later? Devs bounce ideas around at the beginning of development to get a feel for what they should include in the game and what they shouldn't. If an idea gets canned, don't dig it out of the trash and sell it, pretending it's "new content." Also, don't brainstorm ideas for new content just to leech off of an already completed game, see if it fits in the sequel. Don't just make the sequel a conglomeration of DLC packs, either. If an old idea doesn't fit into the sequel, does it fit into the series? Valve did this with Episodes One and Two. Now, if there's content that might fit into the game and you can't determine whether or not the users will appreciate it, put it on your website for free, mod-style. Those that like it will play it and keep it, those that don't either will ignore it or delete it. Essentially it boils down to: make the game, if something doesn't work, toss it in the recycle bin for a possible sequel. Don't sell "additional content" that wasn't worth putting into the game in the first place.

Back on topic, if Valve adds the hats and doesn't increase the drop rate, they're going to make a lot of people pretty unhappy. Unhappy people don't play your games and don't buy games from you in the future.

I feel this is probably what's they're going to implement trading for. I don't see anyone ever getting all 27 hats, plus the hatless Sniper, Scout, and Engie. The odds are just too low. So, instead of trying to find everything, you can trade a hat you don't want as much for something you do want.

Yeah, I think the hats are going to turn in to a distraction, the more 'creative' they get.

I wouldn't mind if I was the one wearing it, but since it's most likely going to be the other way around...sad face.

With 27 hats, I really hope they raise the drop rate...

I can't see how they can up it to 27 hats and not raise the drop rate. Its just plain ridiculous how rare a hat find is. Also I'll take a soldier hat please ;) a few others I want, I don't need them all.

They are going to implement the trade system with this update. They have been talking about it being soon for a good fucking long time now. I guess day 5.....
