Tealjackit 0 #1 Posted September 18, 2006 When I used to play BR, I used to make 1 hut for water, and 1 hut for rice, sometimes 2 for rice. I understood that building more peasant huts increased the rate of re-emerging peasants, but the importance of that never clicked for me. I think that in Br, whenever you experience an excess of resources, you should be building peasant huts with them. Though the peasant hut's effect of increasing peasant generation decreases with the more huts you build, the fact is, the increased rate of peasant generation is what gives you an advantage over your opponent. Faster peasant generation means that units lost in battle will be replaced quicker, which reinforces your ability to recover after battles or to replenish units while winning a fight. If you have extra resources, why not mass peasant hut with them? I don't know the actual values, but, repeating what I said earlier, faster peasant regeneration would give you an edge over an opponent who simply lets excess resources sit. What do you think? IndominusRex 13 #2 Posted September 18, 2006 Yes, I think almost all good players know about this. 6 Huts is the max speed for peasant generation. The reason that many peoples only build 1 hut or 2 huts in game because they want fast game (I mean rush game). I only build 6 huts or more when I'm playing long game in freedom or even in Valley of death for 2v2.
Sinophile 41 #3 Posted September 18, 2006 I didn't know more peasant huts speed up production. I guess you learn something new everyday. Oh yeah, Tealjackit, I saw you on Gamefaqs! DEAFEAT DUATH.
][-AN-][-Ragereaver 0 #4 Posted September 18, 2006 I sometimes build like 20 or more huts in longgame, so if my attack fails I got mass ressources to rebiuld and/or use my keep to defend.
{Dark}WolfBite 2 #5 Posted September 18, 2006 Huts do not only increase peasant producation rate but alos the rice and water collection rate. The shorter the distance the more the rice and water in the long run.
Tealjackit 0 #6 Posted September 18, 2006 Oh, so this is already known knowledge. How did you figure out that 6 peasant huts establishes the maximum peasant genereration rate?
Guest [LOT]Phate #7 Posted September 18, 2006 huts also increase the reasource storage
Sinophile 41 #8 Posted September 19, 2006 I don't think so... >.>
Speedy 11 #9 Posted September 19, 2006 Yeah they increase the storage, like Town Squares. I can confirm that more huts means more peasants, because i tested it.

Izaak 3 #11 Posted September 21, 2006 If you play a long game then you can try building alot of peasant huts. The maximum number of resources you can have is 24000 rice and 1000 water. Once you manage to mass the required amount of peasant huts for those numbers, you can build only one of each other schools before you can't build anything more. Did anyone of you get that? I guess I can still of be some help to you guys. -Izaak, Lord of the Lotus Clan.

Izaak 3 #13 Posted September 21, 2006 (edited) Wait, I was wrong. The real number is actually 38000. That's alot of peasant huts. I can store food then train like crazy if I'm at a loss of units. Now if only there were no entrances on either side of a player's base. Actually, quite alot of my end of the map Center Ring was filled with peasant huts to reach that amount. -Izaak, Lord of the Lotus Clan. EDIT: Come to think of it, 38000 and 24000 might just have been an overestimate. It must have been more like 3800. Peasant huts increase the storage space by 100 rice and 20 water, right? Both same clan, 1 huts vs 6 huts. I have two computers which I can play on Lan too. So I tested everything.
