Hi Admins/Mods

I've been playing on this server for a long time now and loved it so much I become a donator.

But on the server there is always rivalry, all the players with mics join red and discuss tactics against blue attacking. And when We (blue) start winning they start votebanning and kicking AKA me. I always join blue team for the challenge and yes I do get frustrated when my team is not working together. But today when had the upper hand on the Reds and managed to win. Before the last capture I was demo and I was doing what they do to us constantly and even L members do it (spawn camp) was the first time I ever done it and we won the match! They (REDS) votebanned me for Spam. even accuse me for hacking just because I'm a better player then them.

I'm not happy they way I am treated and Butterbean abusing his donator powers starting votebans on whoever he feels a threat to them losing. As I said I enjoy playing on this server as there is a lot of regulars and I like the challenge always going on the more weaker team blue. Please something must be done to stop them votebanning for no serious reason.

Ah, damn, so Butter's hiding out on the 24-player server. Sad to hear that - he did mention that he'd stopped going on the 32-player server regularly except when "all his friend" were on it. I guess Breeze talked him into this treachery.

Still, I'm also surprised to hear you say that a nice guy like Butter would be votebanning you for no reason. Did you talk to him? I'm sure he must be annoyed with you for some reason. Or was Breeze on the server? If so, surely Breeze made him do it.

It's funny to hear that 24-player server also now has a "red microphone trend" like the one Ljubica started on the 32-player server. I often end up in the same situation as you. I play on blue, because it's very hard to motivate yourself to play against weaker opponents, even thought it's often more fun to play with the friends I know on the opposite team. Also, people would quickly grow bored with just one team in the running

hey!

First, if someone is abusing their donator privileges, you can always take screenshots of the console (make sure to use "status" to verify their Steam ID in the console!) or use the !calladmin command to call an admin on the server. We take donator privilege abuse very seriously and we've banned for abuse of !votekick and !voteban before.

Second, we also don't encourage offending other players (yes, that goes for our recruits and members as well), however it's important to know the difference between just shit talk and being annoying and full-on offensive behavior that goes strictly against any rules of common sense. Again, if you think the situation is getting out of control, it's best to report that kind of behavior to us - just make sure to copy-paste the console logs or take screenshots.

Third, spawn camping, team changing and using voice chat to coordinate attacks is definitely not against the rules. If you're getting spawn camped, 99% of the times it's your fault. Generally calling a votescramble helps - if not, assemble your own team and beat the crap out of every single RED bastard You'd be amazed at how much a pocket soldier can do on pubs.

I dont think Brezee would made Butter voteban stussy, i mean, he seems like a nice guy and i enjoy playing with him, i don't think he could do it, but i might be wrong, i only know him for a week.If you play on BLU, and you are a good player, some reds may offense you, cause' why not ? RED team allways win, and if BLU does, they are probably spamers (like stussy) or cheaters.There is a lot of votekicks without a reason...

Thanks for the replies all, I've not been back on the server since the voteban as I've been at work. But thanks for the support and letting me know spawn camping is allowed, was so good for once putting them on the back foot. Would be good if a few more of you joined blue team more and give that red defence a battering. I've seen se7en play a few times on red and you're very good! Would be great you come blue and give a hand thanks again

Can someone define spamming to me as I've only just started playing demoman, and seem to be doing quite good. Coming from being a solider and sniper. Is there any illegal rules for the demoman and the sticky launcher?

No kind of weapon spam is punishable in any way.

Spamming generally just means shooting a lot. Sometimes the definition is limited to shooting through doors at where opponents might be either to haphazardly hit someone or deny a doorway.

Well, bear in mind, "votekick" through due to a majority of the players on the server. A donator's vote is the same as everyone else's vote on this. So it seems that they disliked your way of playing and/or your behaviour.

I'll look into the others logs we have and will say some more to this, and talk with Marge about his behaviour.

You killed me, legitly, and I got you back. I taunted you with "yeah fuck you". It was intended as a joke, 100%. But you replied with "rage", so I replied back with I'm going to rape you (In game, of course).

Butterbean then stepped in and said you spamming POS or something, which is fine, it's still game related. But You then went on to call him names on a personal level. Butterbean is one of the best players this server has in my humble opinion, he works as a team, always friendly, and he is liked all around. For a player to come back and call him a stupid hillbilly is very insulting, and in my books goes under the disruptive reason to kick/ban someone. So I opened a votekick on you. It was not a voteban, you could instantly rejoin. But for the entire server to vote YES, it shows you were indeed being disruptive.

Butterbean didn't say anything over microphone to my knowledge. Besides, butterbean is a mellow person. The worst he'd insult someone with is an acute swear word, he wouldn't call you a fat tree stump or a lanky lamp post... You degenerated to calling him a stupid hillbilly. I did not abuse my donor privileges by disposing of you, because you took things to a whole new level.

Stussy-do you use a 1second auto explode script on your demo man sticky launcher? I may be mistaken, but I think it is you that this has been suspected of on the UK 2Fort servers...I don't think it's disallowed using scripts, but it does wind people up. Apologies if you do not use a script, I'm fairly confident it is you that has been suspected in the past of using one though in the in game chat.

As I said, it's not a kickable offence as far as I know, but it does wind people up. I thought this might help explain some of the "rage".

Margaret is a donor, not an admin, so like the Doctor said, his vote counts the same as a regular player. He can as a donor initiate a vote, but that's only abuse if he does it repeatedly for no valid reason (which he didn't). The fact that the server then unanimously voted to kick you does suggest that you were doing something to piss them off. Certainly multiple accusations of an auto detonate script points this way: scripts are allowed, but ones such as sticky detonate will piss a lot of people off. Not categorically saying you are, but Margaret and Butterbean are no mugs by any means.
