Hello all! I'm wondering how you guys practice TF2.

I know there are many strategies and techniques that vary widely with players; so I want to know yours.

Read a lot of guides. And than play, a lot. It's easy to fall out of practice if you stop playing.

tr_walkway is an amazing test map to tone your aiming skills, strafing skills, essentially anything. Try it out.

tr_walkway is bad for aiming since the hit boxes are messed up. Not sure what strafing you'd be doing on tr_walkway either.

Airstrafing for sollies, and for practicing jumpstabs and stairstabs as a spy. I've never had any problem before with the headshot hitboxes in the map. I mainly use it to improve muscle memory so that it's easier to apply in an actual game scenario.

I just play on a V-Gamers 2Fort when I feel like Im a bad sniper and need some boosting (and when the Lotus Servers are empty/full) Since I have yet to see a good spy there and they always have like 5 v 1 sniper wise, I just join the team with one sniper and show them how its done. I have only seen one sniper there who was able to get a couple kills before a domination. Most of them its like.... really... Plus is INSTANT RESPAWN (ohhh nnooo how baaaadddd.... YES) So if one of them manages to get a kill you just go right back out and put it right plus its the other way around. They just keep on coming out and out and you can rack up kills faster. THAT IS WHY INSTANT RESPAWN RULES =D

Just cause I said they have bad spies there DOES NOT MEAN that you should go and fix that problem Insanity (Just saying)

Try to always play with people who are better than you are. Be aware of your surroundings (memorize the maps, listen/look for spies, and watch your teammates backs) Play ALL the classes!

I still watch peoples YouTube videos looking for new and interesting turret placements or Spy tips.

Create your own server and put just a couple bots in there.

That's actually a good tip. If you can memorize all the areas in a map than you are golden. This is really important on a CTF map so that you don't get lost because some of them can get confusing xD (yeah have you ever gone into the wrong base thinking it was yours xD)

Gotta love pyros playing with their flare guns, missing everything, being completely useless while their team is getting stabbed next to their mask...
