Banned because of Hack?

Recommended Posts

Hi,

I just recived to a message that a person over my internet connection hacked on lotus servers, serveral times. (Aimbot......). I would never do this so, it would be pointless and i dont need to hack, specially because i have only one computer and i can't start two times tf2. So i took a look into my router, and my wlan is just on for my tablet and i saw other mac address, not mine:

Yeah, seems like my Friend (neighbor) was in my W-Lan, we had last week a dispute and i dont talked to hime since days. He also know's my Steamname so he could find out without problems the server which i played on.

Idk why he did is but im just pissed, atm that is everything what i have for proof that i dont was it.

If you believe me, i hope so i could get unbanned but as i know the chance is low.

However, I've tried it unsure.png

Darwin placed a ban on you, the reason stated is "Aimbot (alt): banned and removed from clan".

Nothing will be done until his side of the story has been aired, so sit tight until then (I've sent him a steam message, but he's pretty regular with checking forums anyway, so you shouldn't have to wait too long).

Darwin was talking to me about this.

He can explain more when he gets on, but here's the run down.

I reported a hacker named lolradius under aimbot, Kitten banned him and that was that. Appearently Darwin went into the IP search and found that your account had the same IP address as the account I had reported. Searching further he found that there were a total of 6 accounts under your IP. 5 were considered "alts" and had VAC bans and Lotus Bans. Than there was your account. I think he believe that you were the main account of all the alts, and therefor banned you for "Hacking".

Not 6 Accounts, i asked him he said: he found 3 Accounts:

With this 3 Accounts, someone hacked on Lotus servers, not and never from my account.

The point is, from lotus view, it is my internet connection so "i created them".

But i try to proof that someone used my w-lan to do this, i just have one pc and i cant run tf2 twice.

I was told 5 alts + your main = 6. But my info is entirely second hand.

I have a hard time believing your wifi is that hard to secure, that your ex-friend just happens to play TF2 on Lotus in the same location as you (neighbor?), and that they decided the best way to spite you was by hacking on Lotus servers from your wifi hoping to get caught on the off chance someone will cross reference the IP so you get in trouble.  If that's the case, they could have done countless other things to get noticed/banned faster, and they could have used your name to do so.  Your story lacks logic.  If you invested as much effort into actually playing the damn game as you do in pretending to play it and taking screen shots of your network and making up stories about spiteful friends, maybe you wouldn't need to resort to hacks in the first place and could get a deeper sense of fun and reward like the rest of us.

hey,

everything was explained in the messages I sent to you.

There were five other accounts linked to your main account:

STEAM_0:1:79451669

STEAM_0:1:79437178 (banned by DutchKev two days ago)

STEAM_0:1:79356214 (banned by ACG two days ago)

STEAM_0:0:79082862 (banned by kitten here)

STEAM_0:0:74871369 (VAC banned)

These are all recently created accounts, and all connected from the same IP as you did, sometimes even within 10 hours difference, which rules out the dynamic IP kicking in.

In addition, one of the alt's names was "ill be back Gandalf", and you've used the nickname "Gandalf" before on your main account.

This decision was not taken lightly. Two other staff members (ProLoser Nano and Gotcha) have reached the same conclusion, so our decision was to remove you from the clan and ban you.

The screenshot you provided doesn't prove anything - you can easily connect a mobile phone or another computer of your own to your router to "prove" someone else has been connecting.

I'm sorry but you're going to have to come up with something better.

After discussing this thread at some length with a member last night this occurred to me too. I'm gutted by this news as I was someone who encouraged Neo to join. Obviously feel free to delete this post Staff as it offers nothing to the discussion.

"They have used my name..." he knows my steam name, so no problem to check it and create a account with it....

Explain me, how should i prove this? When someone is using your W-Lan, he get the same IP and can do what he want.

At my side i have only the screen from the router, i dont know how i should proof it.

Believe me I thought your corner in a discussion last night with an equally surprised member. It surprised us both that you would have your own server, which indicates possibly some knowledge of IT/infrastructure, yet have an unsecured router?

Im sorry but with so many alt accounts banned, and all for seemingly the same thing, and again one ban was by me after spectating the hack was obvious

you're going to need hard proof that this wasn't you i'm afraid

I'm against the unban request until further evidence is provided

So... you know how to get the information for your Lan, you have your own server, yet you don't know how to change the password on your Lan? Strange.

Yep, I'm sorry, but where there's smoke, there's fire. The first occurrence was over a week ago, and I doubt someone as knowledgeable as you would have missed someone intruding in your WLAN for over seven days.

Unban denied.

Just adding my two cents. The defense here is a typical "my brother hacked on my account, so it's not my fault".

You're responsible for such people causing damage to our servers, be it from another person on your account, or if you don't keep your internet secure, through your connection.

So even if you're not guilty, you should've kept your wireless connection secure. Now it was just a hacked game, but there's much more sick people that could do disgusting things through your internet.

It's a pity that a recruit would lower himself do this, but the proof is pretty solid and your defense very implausible.
