I keep seeing it at least once every time I play TF2, which is rather annoying...I mean, what kind of idiot would seriously invest in that much money on a cosmetic item that doesn't even show up on the model?! It transmits your name and the name of your "partner" to everyone, so there is a certain amount of notoriety that comes from that I suppose. I will buy keys sometimes, or buy something as a present for someone in the community market, but I tend to craft everything else. I'm not sure why someone would spend that kind of money. Seems like a waste. You could have just spent $100 on piles of gifts and gift bombed a couple servers. If you want people to know who you are and like you that's probably a better way of doing it. The best part is that anything put in the workshop, Valve rejects the name, and if it's a weapon they reject all suggested stats.
