Elimination #2: Anyone with more than 3 games remaining at the end of the evening on the 27th of October will be removed from the contest. Removal will be done by highest number of games first. So if one person has 4 games and another has 6, and the removal of the person with 6 games means you go down to 3 games, you remain in the contest.

 

Anyone with more than 0 games remaining at 13:00 on the 2nd of November will be removed from the contest.

Style: Round Robin

Class: Each 1v1 will consist of playing Scout, Soldier and Demo. You will have to play every class

Nights: Thursdays (Normal MGE time) and/or Saturdays at 8GMT for one hour each - If the two people playing are in agreement they can organise another night/time as they wish.

Server:

Either: Fever/Trolls server - connect 85.236.101.33:27815; password scr@tch

Or the MGE Lotus server - 94.23.227.80:27035

Or another suitable server that provides as even a ping for both players as possible - If you are playing vs an american, please be considerate to their ping - I suggest an East Coast server if they are West Coast - or if they are East Coast, Two games on a UK server and one game on an East Coast server. Please be polite and considerate - it's not their fault they are dirty yanks

 

Rules: 

1) You can organise games between yourselves to a time that suits you both, you will be expected to be available at least on Thursday or Saturday at one of the above times however each week in order to be fair to everyone. If you cannot make it due to holidays etc, let me know. 

2) All the normal lotus etc rules apply.

3) You must post a screenshot clearly showing BOTH PLAYERS NAMES - THE FINAL SCORE + THE CLASS PLAYED - failure to show all three will result in you having to rematch. 

4) Whitelist must be followed. 

5) Dont be a bellend. No seriously, don't. This is a lot of effort to organise, and I will be putting a lot of time in, please dont fuck me off. 

6) It's expected that you find the time to play against 2 people per week. That is 6 games of MGE (Scout, Soldier and Demo x 2 opponents). 

7) If you fail to complete any games, or be available for any games for 2 weeks in a row, without telling me you'll be awol, it'll be deemed that you are forefitting and your history will be removed from the scoresheet

8) If you have issues arraging games with someone, post on here or talk to me.

9) If you have any other issues, post on here or talk to me.

10) You will comply to all of Dominos demands or she has free licence to beat you

Scoring:

Scoring will be based upon results per class:

Win by 20 = 10 points (20-0)

Win by 15-19 = 5 points (20-1 to 20-5)

Win by 10-14 = 4 points (20-6 to 20-10)

Win by 5-9 = 3 points (20-11 to 20-15)

Win by <5 = 2 point (20-16 and above)

Lose 19-20 you can have 1 point in sympathy - this is the only time a loser will score a point.

Just think of how much you'll improve by the end. People entering won't be great at all three classes, and specially if it's round robin you'll play vs people who don't MGE or just play medic (me for instance) - the main point other than fun and a contest is to learn. You'll improve your aim as well as (if phase 2 external version goes ahead) meet some new people too.

Good chance for the recruits to play each other and Ls to get to know the team too.

We should do it Classassin style! Nine rounds which would be Scout vs Scout, Soldier vs Soldier, etc. until all the classes have been played. It would be quick (nine deaths go pretty fast) and interesting, and if someone is deadly with one class but crap with the others it'll even it out a bit.
