I think the reason the dynamic lighting wasn't working is that they shut it off right before we tried to use it. I had a Pro account and then stopped my payments to save money. When someone posts in this thread you can click on their profile and then go to their posts directly to view what they wrote. Who's showing up Saturday?

So, hi, out of the blue, but im gonna play my firsy d&d session next saturday, making a char is really fun, and im gonna play with 4 other fellow newbies, the one who invited us all is gonna be the dm.

 

4th edition, and i picked the char with class who gotta spend the most. Rogue kobold. Spent 91 gold. I rolled an 18 for my dex. Now im already planning ahead what feats i want and the dm is laughing bc im gonna be the fastest asshole. Now my other fellow players are already buying stuff to specifically halt me xD

 

This game is gonna be the first and the most messy game and im gonna enjoy every last bit of it <3

I mentioned I was making notes on NPCs as we met them...this is what I have so far...if you can remember any others let me know and I'll add them to the list.  The list is mostly revolving around the party and my character so I probably haven't noted down particular people you might have met (e.g. Obvi met with a member of the Thieves Guild in Sheywood).

He came to the monastery to learn of our ways.  Only spoke Elvish and not Common which was weird.  I had to learn Elvish so we could communicate with him at the monastery.  Our paths crossed again when we met on the path heading east through the forest and he requested our help, we agreed.  He then took us to meet with the reclusive forest elves who wanted us to enter a dungeon and find another clan of elves who had gone missing - they wanted us to reunite the elven clans.

Met them at the entrance to the dungeon (there were three of them, Wayne was the other member of their party?) with the treasure chests and the summoning circle.  They were trying to clear the dungeon out and return to their king with the treasures.  We offered to go and clear out the dungeon for them, possibly with help from one or two of them (even though they would need to be mostly kept out of the way).  We opened the five chests in turn and each chest summoned beasts and gave us an orb, 5 orbs in total.  The NPCs had the final orb from opening the last chest whilst we killed things.  We bought the final orb from them for 90 gold pieces (60 from me, 30 from Annun), just so they had something to go back to their king with and so that we could keep the orbs together (Annun took 4, I took 1).

That'd make it easier!  I just know we've gone from doing it, to skipping a week here and there to people just not showing up (usually with a good reason) to putting it on hiatus for new job responsibilities to its back in this next weekend, etc. Etc.  So I figured it was a better idea to ask than assume.

I'm honestly jealous xD.

With a toddler, wife, and only 3 planned hours a week that I can do what *I* want I just don't have that flexibility anymore.
