Football season starts for me this weekend/next week with matches on saturday, monday and friday. Got last training before match on saturday now and it will probably take till 6:3-6:40.

So death or jess please get people in mumble, I will be home around 15-10 minutes before scrim starts.

Thanks :)

Don't be disheartened, but realise that even if you practice you have to be prepared to lose a lot before you win anything...especially with no coordination

Yeah I know, all I'm saying is at the moment no one should be getting upset with anyone because no one has contributed exceptionally within the team...we played together twice. It's not like anyone is holding the team back at all. We're new, the teams were playing are quite often scrimming three or four times a week every week, crafting strats and doing map walks and likely have been doing for some time. It might only be iron, but don't under estimate how much other teams put into it.

I reserve the right to give myself abuse for dropping ubers

XD

Whatever works for you. We're playing for fun (unless you've all been practicing in secret lol), so don't stress about things and enjoy it. If you're not enjoying it then it won't leave you with anything other than a weekly commitment so I say have some fun with it.

But but but... we suffer from your drops.

I think we have the right to abuse you for it, too. *nod nod nod*

Exactly, which is why I offered to resign last night. If you can find a better medic, do so.

Nooooooooooooo! We want to abuse you! :-P

Jokes aside, as Fever said, we haven't really played that often together so far. Teamwork isn't built by magix, but my experience.

For example, when i was running in front of that sentry, it was completely my fault because i thought you'd go there with me, too. I am used to tag team with certain people that behave in a certain way. My fault for projecting that on you, but it's a habit and born from experience with others. I won't do this again, but we're going to have to find our modus operandi. :)

I kind of think you may have taken it the wrong way..

Other than that, it's that sort of attitude which makes this less fun. No one should take it to heart if it doesn't go to plan...

Can I just say...

Dropping is inevitable in HL. You'll find even the best medics dropping around twice or more every game. Snipers and Spies etc. are a pain to deal with in HL and if you drop, it's absolutely fine (especially if it's a Kritzkrieg) now I'm not saying you should run out and go YOLO because dropping is inevitable so why not play like a retard, I'm saying don't put yourself down just because of a few drops. Learn from your mistakes, work as a team to stop these things from happening, have your Soldier bomb their Sniper frequently, have a Pyro spycheck around the Medic more than around the Engineer - the sentry isn't the one with 100% uber. Learn to dodge and surf rockets, don't get into the sight of Snipers, have your team call out whereabouts the Sniper is so you won't accidentally walk in front of them. Little things like this can win a game and Kate, I know as a Medic you'll want to blame yourself for a lot of things because you're playing one of the very important classes but trust me, it's seldom ever your fault. :)

GL LEVICTUS! Just keep practising, it'll get better. No team just starts off prem.

A few tips from experience last season...

Med, Heavy and pro should remember to look behind you every few seconds (really, that frequently)...If you are doing great it right there should always be someone watching behind you for the enemy spy.

We obviously need someone to make calls. I don't think it should be the medic (even though it is in teams with lots of experience), they have enough to do.

Medic needs to let the team know when they are at 90% charge so demo can return to them and/or the pro and heavy can get into position. No point doing it when you are at 100% as time is then wasted waiting for people to get into position. You need to be ready to go at 100%.

Absolutely no raging/shit talking in comms. People die when messages cannot be relayed or heard because someone is raging.  If you're pissed because of something then don't hit transmit....shout at yourself xD

No arguing over calls. It's fine to say "I'm not in position", "The other team switched flanks" or similar but no debating for reasons like "they don't do this in UGC/ETF2L/etc". If you don't like the call tough, just do it. Next time there is a map walk come along and suggest strats then.

There is no shame in binning strats if someone with more experience gives you better ones. We did this on cp_steel last season when Alex had a better plan and it we had a much better game because of it.

Pushing on the pyro is legit and on some maps, the pyro is the number one target as they can stop a push stone cold dead. A good pyro will delay you on stop watch far more than a good med.

Watch Moosetracks map walk videos. They're only 15 minutes or less in length and explain basic comp strats, positioning, rollout etc. Extine does very detailed hour long videos which are also very interesting and they contain a lot more information....things like when going to "C" from "B" on cp_steel you think you can it be hit from behind the rocks but you can actually be sniped...also there is a metal screen on upward that the heavy can hide behind but weirdly he can shoot through it...stuff like that.

Try and be on time, remember 17 people might be waiting for you. If you might be late that's fine but try to give as much notice as possible. Even during scrims. It's harder to arrange scrims with teams if we kept them waiting.

IMO your team MVPs are your subs.  Without them, 75% of your games won't happen.

A maincaller isn't a must have, but it is very useful. It can seem scary at first but I can offer help to anyone who wants tips or anything. I may not play HL anymore but sitting in a HL mumble for months has given me this useless HL gamesense I don't need :P

I can try main calling, never did it before though.

Also, scrim tonight 8pm. Would be awesome if we could be set in mumble to go over the map really quick.

And one general thing, if you can't make a match or scrim, please let us know as early as possible. 17 people wait if someone isn't there and we need to get a sub.

No offense, but you're timing out very often.

I would prefer it to be either the demo, or the spy, for the following reasons:

* Demo because he would be a prime target for ubers, for his "i blow all the shit up abilities", and he needs longest to reload for a full magazine.

* Spy because they can actually be there invisibru and check the status of everything, or start sapping the moment there will need to be a push

My 5 cents

Sniper is scoped in so can't really see IMO, engy is not always near the front lines.  Spy is a good shout as they can sit and observe waiting for picks.  Just my 2 cents.  It's a tough call whoever picks it up.
