Need Mouse Recommendations

Recommended Posts

Looking at getting new stuff for Christmas :)

I've been using a Razer Abyssus (the old one) for almost 2 years, and it's worked great, but the lack of side buttons on the mouse bothers me a bit, I could really use some. I've been looking at getting the Logitech G502 Proteus Core, but there seems to be some controversy surrounding the build quality. I've also looked at the Logitech G302 Daedalus Prime and the new Deathadder. Any recommendations?

A lot of people are tough on Razer but I never had any big problems with them. I'm using an old Deathadder I got a couple of years ago and it still works great. The only thing about it was the rubber grips came off after a year or so. I could glue them on, but the way I grip the mouse would cause them to come off again. When I just got my new computer setup I ended up getting the Deathadder Chroma for it. I mainly got it for the colors but realized it was almost a waste since I am still using the old one. I thought about doing a giveaway for it but it will just be kept as a backup for now. I read more reviews on it and it seems people have had issues with quality with the newer Deathadders.

Got a 2013 Razer Deathadder after my Logitech let me down and I thought I'd never use anything different from Logitech.  I can't see myself going back now.

Razer definitely do good mice, ive had a Razer naga for about 4 years and still pretty much works, the left click started to break in the last month though, and im using a Death adder 2013 edition now. Logitech is decent aswel though.

Logitech g400s. If you can find one, get it. It's discontinued afaik, but it's an awesome mouse.

Have it for like 2 years now, absolutely love it.

I use a G402 ATM. Can vouch for it as I can for Logitech G5, G500, G400, G400s and G502, the Roccat Kone Pure Optical is also a beaut but the wheel failed after about 2 years of usage, I woul go for the Military version since I hear it's sturdier. I also have the SS Rival but it's a huge mouse and I have difficulty using it.

Yeah, this was the mouse I had before my Deathadder.  I had two over about a 5 year period.  First one was awesome and lasted over 4 years, the second one only lasted just over 12 months.

Well after doing more homework I cropped out Logitech out of the race and added the Zowie FK1 and the SS Rival. Now trying to decide between those 2 and Deathadder. Dammit this is tough

Bear in mind, the size difference between these 2 mice is considerable. You will likely find one of them unusable depending on your grip style/palm size.

I usually do a full palm grip, but I have my fingers curled up a bit at the moment because the Razer Abyssus is too small to fit my hand on. It's not to the point where it's uncomfortable, but I would like to have a mouse where I could potentially do a full palm grip. My hand is roughly 18.5 cm long and just under 8 cm wide

🔥 Test Your Tactical & Strategic Mastery in "Grain Road"! 🔥
Not all battlegrounds are created equal. Unlike conventional maps where peasant huts can be placed near rice fields, Grain Road forces you to rethink your economy. The rice fields lie far downhill, forcing your peasants to traverse a long and treacherous trail to gather resources—slowing both sides' economies and demanding careful resource management.
As if the terrain weren’t punishing enough, the path to the rice fields is stalked by wolves, ready to ambush passing peasants. Space is also extremely limited, making expansion a battle in itself. Will you secure key positions, fight for new ground, or outmaneuver your enemies with superior tactics? In this unforgiving landscape, teamwork is key—only those who adapt and strategize together will emerge victorious.
      ⚔️ Supports intense 1v3, 2v2, 2v3, and 3v3 team battles.
⚠️ Not recommended for 1v1, 1v2, or Free-for-All due to random starting positions. (A separate map file for 1v1 and 2v1 is attached.)
✅ Always set allies nearby for a fair fight.
💀 WARNING! This map is NOT for the faint of heart. If you fear challenges, stay away. Limited space, unforgiving terrain, and relentless pressure may test your patience—but only the strongest will endure.
Will you conquer the chaos or be broken by frustration? Adapt. Survive. Triumph. 🏆

Wow. I literally just spent like 10 mins  writing a very elaborated story about my experience with screaming, violently vibrating headphones....

..,and then I clicked the f***ing back button my mouse.

pointless post = I need people to know my life problems.
