That way you know what you're going to be but your opponent doesn't. In true random you or your opponent both don't know what you're going to be. It's like a surprise. If we all know how to use random bug, then random should not be a matter. What can i say? Im an anti cheater. I know rice cheat but never use it. I know how to get orb and kenji, but never reveal it.
