{HeRo}GeneralDS 4 #28 Posted September 16, 2006 i vote for yes becuz me and my one friend do it alot, and me and him usually know which clan we go for, and i always like the element of suprise to be on my side, so i believe that it is just a simple bug and should only be treated as such, not be treated like something worse such as a cheat becuz to me cheats should only be used as a last resort and doing the random bug at the beginning isnt a last resort just a way to get the suprise going..so for all of those out there who think its a cheat your have been gravely mistaken because it would be listed on cheat sites as well..and i have not seen any cheats for this game on any cheat site, especially the one site that im a member of...altho its more of a faq site than a cheat site but it also has a side of cheats. btw i usually choose either the dragon, wolf, or serpent when i random and my friend usually goes for lotus or serpent...so when i use random be prepared for either of the three clans that i listed that i use priamrily, and if people are really as good as they say they should be able to handle any situation including a mytery clan due to random... p.s. the random bug doesnt work in single player skirmishes that u do under new game in the main menu...but will work in a single player game that u host in the lobby and made sure that no one joined...so its really not a cheat if you look at it carefully, if it was then it would also work in normal single player skirmishes... When you pick random you aren't suppose to know what you are going to be, that's why it's called RANDOM. It's a bug and that may be why it's not on any of your cheat sites. But whatever, I think it's cheap if you know what you are going to be but your enemies don't. I have learned to live with it but it really does put the advantage on one side. I always had an ally let the scouting to me and, I control+d their buildings until they attack the enemy. and I attack too. {Dark}KaBuKI 2 #35 Posted September 21, 2006 omg i hate when people complain about people using ramdom is part of the game thats why liquid put it for i think they put it for people to use it dont u think so too . about u knowing what clan u going to have i think thats not a bug cuz u cant do that when u playing vs a ai i think is just a strategie that was added to the multiplayer when u play vs people that like using ramdon an u win the game thats when i can say u play good cuz u learn how to spy and be ready to take down any units they make. {HeRo}GeneralDS 4 #36 Posted September 21, 2006 i agree with kabuki, i believe that random should be allowed becuz it adds to the fun and it also tests other people in strategies by letting them have to scout first to see what the best strategy is to use...if u couldnt do this neat thing then this game would get boring really fast, and i have tested it out and the random "bug" is only usable in multiplayer skirmishes and not one with just you and AI playing..so its actually not a bug because if it was then you could use it in single player mode of skirmishes..and i see no reason for all of the complaining over something small like this..so y dont u people who say its a bug actually test it out in single player skirmishes and multiplayer skirmishes, the single player skirmishes is found under new game in the main menu of br and multiplayer is completely obvious...i have no reason to change my answer because its just something that only happens in multiplayer and nowhere else in the game...dont mind my "essay-looking" reply..i just have alot to say and have a hard time condensing it Quote Share this post Link to post Share on other sites

It has nothing to do with it at all being in multiplayer but not in single player. They just must of missed it and forgot to fix it. I still think it's a bug and it wasn't put in there on purpose.
