(rocket launcher, sniper rifle) If you have the sapper equipped, the secondary weapon (such as stickybomb launcher, shotgun) IF you have the knife equipped, the melee weapon is shown (shovel, bottle, etc). Gringothegamer 0 #130 Posted February 25, 2009 To switch weapons you just change your weapon as the spy and press the use last disguise key (The default key is the b key). It will basically change your disguise to the disguise with the new weapon. If you equip the knife it will show that class's melee weapon (eg. Saw, Beer Bottle, Wrench, etc.). If you equip the gun it will show that charrie's primary weapon (eg. Flamethrower, Syringe Gun, Scattergun, etc.). Finally, if you equip the sapper you will show the secondary weapon (eg. Shotgun, Sticky Gun, Machine Gun(Sniper), etc.). The reason the pyro defaults to the axe is because you default to the knife. If you default to the gun it will show the flamethrower. Gabe's infinite wisdom provided us with a major glitch, backstab criticals cause server crashes. Also, I have caused many a backstab in the time since the patch on many a server without crashing a server yet-- that said, I do not doubt that the error exists (typical Valve coding ability) but at the same time, spy is my favorite class and so I have no reason to play on a server that restricts me from playing spy. Seems like Valve isn't entirely sure what's causing. Odly enough disabling the spy seems to increase up time. It might just be a coincidence now. Perhaps disabling A class reduces the amount of scenes/gamerules/whatever the crap is causing crashes. Thus it can leak longer before crashing... I'll disable the spy again on one server and run another whit out any plugins. The plugin is a Valve server plugin, and does not require metamod or Sourcemod. It can be loaded in the middle of a game with no noticeable load time. After loading the plugin, you should change the map for the plugin to take any action. Contents of the README file: String Table Blocker Version: 1 for TF2 Date: 2/25/09 Creator: Drunken F00l, www.sourceop.com This plugin prevents the following crash (or ones similar): Host_Error: Overflow error writing string table baseline Scenes It works by removing a bunch of stuff from the string tables. The goal of this is to remove enough stuff so that a client can connect without causing an overflow when the server tries to send the client all of the string tables. By default, it will remove almost all scene (vcd) files and defer all of them from being added until use. The taunt scenes will be removed which will break taunts. This can be controlled by one of the CVARs. Adding taunts back in may or may not cause an overflow message and hasn't been thoroughly tested. CVARs: stb_blocktaunts - Blocks taunts from being processed. (defaults to on) stb_blockunused - Blocks unused table entries. Should always be enabled. (defaults to on) stb_cutspy - Blocks spy scene table entries. (defaults to on) stb_cutvoicemenu - Blocks all vcd related to voice menu and responses. (defaults to on) stb_deferallscenes - Doesn't enter scene table entries until use. (defaults to on) stb_verbose - Displays messages to console when action is taken.
