The Spy Update

I figure we should move our spy update discussion out of the "sniper update" thread and into its own place.

I was just looking over the announced achievements. And here's my predictions:

The sapper and disguise kit will not be replaced at all (ie, no unlocks).

They've given us two unlocks to replace the cloak watch (which is interesting since I never really thought of it as being part of your inventory).

There are two slots left on the spy's "order form".

So Valve will either:

a) only give one more unlock (probably for the revolver) and then give us a "meet the spy" video OR

give a revolver and knife unlock.

Revolver unlock prediction:

Tranquilizer gun that does less damage than the revolver

Knife unlock prediction:

A weapon that does an instant kill from behind except the instant kill is silent (the enemy does not scream in pain) and the cooldown before the weapon can be re-used is longer.

As with other classes, the spy's default kit will still be the best option for most situations.

That's how I think it's going to go. Kinda sucks that they're not changing the kit or the sapper, but what can you really change? Both are already as good as they could be.

I think the new knife and revolver are in the picture for day 3. The revolver is pinkish and looks generally different, and if his original knife was stuck in the Sniper's shield, where did the knife in his back come from?

When sentries shoot their owners, and kill them and them shoot other sentries. This (or a variation) could be an unblockable, but no...

I really think they should have throwable knives. If you're not close enough to get that medic before he ubers just throw the knife and instant kill. Or better yet the further away the less damage but after a certain point you can throw and instant kill.

I was hoping they change the regular zapper to a zapper bomb! The bomb would zap anything within a decent area and the bomb would recharge over time like the scout's bonk or get a certain amout of metal like pyros airblast take 50 ammo each airblast.

yeah the gun I thought it would be a trangun too with a silencer attached to it! of course u could kill like rivanor said

the knife am still praying for a RAMBO style knife (Hunting knife) that does more damage, kills faster but the recovery time of the knife would be slower.

hmmm well let's wait for the OFFICIAL day and see which of my wishlist comes true
