Maps
This area includes user made Map files for Battle Realms. Maps uploaded here should work on all versions of the game. That is Steam, GoG and Original CD version Battle Pack 2 or higher for (.map) (.bre files require Winter of The Wolf expansion to be installed).
To install:
Put downloaded maps (.map or .bre file format) in your Battle Realms\Levels folder. Extract them beforehand if needed (.zip, .rar, .7z), A a good free utility to use for archive extraction is 7zip.
When uploading a new map be sure to include a screenshot of how your map looks like.

Lords

Its a Stand Alone Map. This map is meant to be played with Kill The Keep mod!!!!
The bes settings are
Starting Army - Large
Starting Resourses - High
Horses - Low
Population - Low
Rice Growth Rate - Fast
Yin/Yang - Normal
It is important to be with such settings for best gameplay. There is building placement for only some huts, keep, healer building and if theres place 1 warrior building. Its all about gaining Yin/Yang summon Heroes and destroyng keeps for more building placement. There are 4 arenas of the 4 elements FIRE WATER EARTH and WIND. And theres a central arena where the last battles are ment to determain the best player. There are monsters on the beaches that wait for slaughter, theyr for getting your first Yin/Yang points. The Low population is to make the game more like a Lord challenge mod. Thats what the map is meant for. Enjoy.
And BTW building on the beaches wont be very smart.

This is a tricky one. The center of the map is at 50 Height and its like a big hill. To win you must 1st take controll of the enemy hills. The you can think out how to brake through the enemy defences which is the hard part here. Its all about the Higher ground advantage.

Helm`s Deep

This map is a Request by Hanzo00000.
Its somthing like in the movie LOTR at Helm`s Deep.
Its a very hard map though, really hard even for pro`s. Its a 1vs7 or 2vs6 map. Ofcorse the team at the fortress hasbig advantages, but vs 240 warlocks or berserkers or cannos, snipers, its kinda hopeless situation.
Anyway thats what Hanzo00000 wanted so thats what i`ve made. Enjoy

Serp's Ye Ol' Land

Okay, here it is: the most epic-looking map ever (well, there is no way i can be sure; but i have putted piles of effort into this thing, so...). Its finished, but (probably) still needs some minor changes and fixes. So, please tell me about anything that really bad or wrong about it's appearance. If i will find your complains trueful and significant, i ll definetly try to do all necessary changes . And yes, i know that Ye Ol' Land looks rather like piece of worldmaster art than actual map . This is my mapping style, so nothing can be done here. Still, map is completly playable, it can be used for 2v2 or free for all gaming.
p.s. Remember, battles are great, then surroundings are breathtaking. Take a look; some installations that this map have are quite impressive, at least for more liking.

This super small map is good for 2vs2 ... and again, it requires teamwork like the other map [Center Mount`n] ..
This is a good fight for ranger characters like Archers and Warlocks... you can actually see the enemies' base on the other side of the map.. LOL..

The Deadswamps Fortresses

a more good than useful looking map (i hope^^) with some light/darkness-plays. Many options are possible. enough space for buildings (in massbattles not too much but also not too few) 3 possible ways to enter the enemys base(s).
The direct one about the old dike (maybe like your opponent XD), the lower one through the mysterios forest or the upper one passing by an ancient Wolf-Sanctuary.
On 2vs2 or more you must work together with your axis to beat your opponents big defence down.

Nature's Citadel

This is a map i made for my favourite type of gameplay: 3 vs 5 AI!
Theres only one entrance through the players base and can be well gaurded with two exelent hills to put towers upon, there plenty of rice and building space for everyone and theres also rice and water in the bottom left and the top right corner (bottom left gaurdede by spiders)
Ive also put up a massive spider spawn point at the start of the entrace to the players base so when attacked the enemies have to fight some spiders first which can buy yopu some time, there are three entrances through the foes base you can see the mon the minimap and in my opinion the two at the sides are safer than the one thats strainght through
The only minus is that the enemies base is all at the same spot and its massive! So get those raiders and pitch slingers ready!
PN(please notice): Over the years the dragon got too old and died and his burning body lies in the bottom left corner draining in corruption as it lies!

Lots of great ideas from very old maps, and some new ones ive never seen so far, too. Crazy how many things you can build with 4 different stones, lol. I would love to see you playing with the coloring tool some more for shadowing lowgrounds, cliffs, paint lighting from fires. -
