Maps

This area includes user made Map files for Battle Realms. Maps uploaded here should work on all versions of the game. That is Steam, GoG and Original CD version Battle Pack 2 or higher for (.map) (.bre files require Winter of The Wolf expansion to be installed).

To install:
Put downloaded maps (.map or .bre file format) in your Battle Realms\Levels folder. Extract them beforehand if needed (.zip, .rar, .7z), A a good free utility to use for archive extraction is 7zip.

When uploading a new map be sure to include a screenshot of how your map looks like.

    This is my first map, but i have corrected it for BR only now.
    Shadow gate is small 2 player rush map.
    Be careful with wolfs! Or try to lure them to opponent base...
    Boulders in NW and SE corners also can be useful.

  8. Blue Castle

    Blue castle is 3v3 or 2v2 map (actually its too big for 2v2).
    Two long cliffs creates 3 ways between players. This ways connects only in northest and southest parts of map (bases of players). The Blue castle in center of map. Here you can find bridges to cliffs. One bridge to one cliff, and no more ways to climb on them on this map..
    So, its great position to atack opponent bases by range weapon. You also find few boulders here.
    !Dragon rules this map!

  9. Heartland

    Heartland is big 4v4 map.
    Players on south have little advantage in atack and defence, but position of northern players much better for cooperative play.
    River has 5 crossing points:
    1,2 - west part of map
    3,4 - island in center
    5- east part, near waterfall
    Nearby almost all crossing points you can find good defend position.
    Island control = key to victory.

  10. Temple of Sun

    Temple of Sun is 2v2 (only) *long* map (see screenshot).
    In center of map lays big hill (temple). This is very good place for controlling because here u can build superior defend( you can put your range-atack units on red walls) and all horses of map will be nearby you.

  12. Sacred Valley

    This is map for 2v2 (or 4 player ffa game(not recommended)). Its enough big but u can try rush with your allie if you want.This map good for atack, not defence:
    1 - Each base have 3 *doors*.
    2 - From clifs near opponent base you can atack his rice field
    or push boulders on him.
    U can get yang or yin by killing wolfs in center of map.

    Full of intense battles, close bases, and devious surprises in this fine 4 player map. Trees, rice, water and animals are plentiful and diffused together in harmonic blends. A very dark, rainy map with plenty of effects, objects, and paths. The trees may provide cover for many ambushes and traps. This map looks very easy, but you may have trouble defending your territory.

  20. Bridge of Woe (4)

    Bridge Of Woe is a 5 player Hellscape. The eastern players have more of a luxury in deciding to cross the bridges, whereas the closeness of the 3 in the west forces a more immediate series of confrontations. The 3 bridges provide ample strategic routes for attacks. Players in the west are in a more tense situation, but they have the horses. Nobody has an abundance of rice, and the northwestern player with the only profound height advantage is cramped and suffers from the water-is-far-away problem. The northmost bridge is quite architecturally neutral, with a few choke points. The broad central bridge has a raised control position in its middle, valuable fighting terrain to hold or retreat to during an advance. The southern pathway is closest to the sulphurous ash - its surface has crumbled and warped to the point where it is mostly only a chaotic single-file line of death, hanging dramatically from its entranceways. Its dangerous nature means most players need not worry about attacks mounted through there.
